Thats you profitable jamming range... folding AQ would be a disaster and by far the worst of every option
Or if Gsmith calls with TT and you win?
Assuming normal bounties at this stage, this is ITM and the original shover is going all in with a (correct) wide range of hands- you cover the BB and the effective stacks are 25bb, so personally I would jam all in. Worst case scenario, shrimpy calls, but he'll fold a lot and, even when he calls, you are still playing for 2 bounties and likely will have some equity with an Ace.
By calling, you are allowing him to make you fold with a lot of hands you're flipping / ahead of, as it's correct for him to jam lower pocket pairs, KQ etc.
However, say both players have minimum bounties- if you think the BB is very passive / will never be jamming worse hands, calling then folding is probably reasonable.
I had been on a losing 2 week streak and some of my KOs have been while trying to nab a short stack's bounty while there has been a similar stack sized player in between.
This is 4bb no ante profitable shoving range UTG so A8 does extremely well vs this range... However we cant assume opponent is ever shoving correctly and sky is one of the nittiest sites for mtts online.
But you should be rejamming for the bounty its more valuable than clinging on for a ladder and can position you to win a tourney. If bb wakes up with a hand so be it.
