£20 GTD FR and the rebuy + add on cost

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this so please move it if it's in the wrong part of the forum.
Basically I've been playing in the £20GTD FR's. Small beer I know but it's a bit of fun away from the grind of the DYM's.
What I couldn't help notice though is that the rebuy and add on are £0.50. Given the only way to make that back is by final tabling (even then you've lost money unless you hit 1-3) I was wondering why they are set so high.
I've sometimes thought about rebuying but it just makes no sense at that price. Do you think the higher ups would be able / willing to lower both the rebuy and add on to say £0.10. To me that makes more sense given the prizes on offer and more players might be willing to take either as it represents better value.
