Computer Help

GrimesyyyGrimesyyy Member Posts: 6
Hi all. Just looking for some help with a computer issue I have been having. Basically when I load up too many tables, my mouse freezes. I can still move the cursor around but instead of being a pointer it changes to the diagonal resize function. This happens when I missclick the corner of a table. This means I can physically click on the action I want to take at the poker table but this is not processed as I am stuck with the resize function. I then timeout everywhere and have to perform a hard reset on my PC to load everything up again. Is this an issue to do with RAM? I currently have a fairly dog computer, only 4GB of RAM. The computer model is a Dell optiplex 750. I am using Windows 10 if that also helps. Cheers.

    All I can suggest for now is to make sure windows is up to date, or try turning off aero theme, and if they fail you can try and turn clicklock on and see how that works out. Good chance none of these work but worth a try first. You should be able to Google how to turn off aero or turn clicklock on.

    this is the likely the root of your problem

    What Kapow suggests may help a little.

    open task manager, per to see how much RAM sky poker is using, and how much your system has left over. I'd be willing to bet that sky uses most of it, and there is none left over with a lot compressed . Sky has been known to suffer in those situations.

    The likely fix is to buy more RAM. A work around would be to play less tables. 4Gb for windows 10 isn't much.

    So is that the excuse for your recent form? 🤣

    I have a similar problem when I play on download. If I go above 8 the cursor seems to go invisible at times. It is fine when I play in browser though.

    @gregkdy82

    press [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [ESC] at the same time. Task manager should open.

    Under the performance tab you should see how much memory you have

    If you're using win 10 then 4gb is a problem ye. Win 10 uses pretty much 2gb itself.

    Yes I am using Windows 10. Computer wasn't the cheapest and is only two years old. I hadnt considered it was the problem. Thanks @kapowblamz and @chicknMelt.
