Driver with 26 points on licence caught eating her dinner at the wheel while driving through town centreA woman who was disqualified from driving after racking up 26 points on her licence was caught driving with “no hands” while eating her dinner at the wheel.
Amy Richards, 50, drove through a busy town centre while holding her plate in one hand and scooping food into her mouth with the other.
Officers initially began following Richards when they were alerted to the car being untaxed.
But Richards, from Cranleigh, Surrey, then swerved onto the other side of the road as she went through Guildford town centre on 22 October last year.
When officers got nearer, they realised Richards had been tucking into a meal behind the wheel and that she already had 26 points on her licence with two speeding offences.
