Wife gets the blues when husband waits for her to go on trip before secretly painting their house all the colours of the rainbow as a 'surprise'
Karen Goldsmith (pictured with her husband Mike) said she had to avert her eyes after she returned from a trip to London to find her Plymouth home of 36 years had received a rainbow paint job, courtesy of her husband. The 59-year-old kitchen assistant said she has grown to like the colour scheme, which spreads across the front of the house and on to the garden wall. Ms Goldsmith said her husband Mike had always wanted to add a splash of colour to the home, but she had previously been against it.
