Morning.

The day after a UKOPS ends is always flat, & that applies to Mini UKOPS too. Everything was a bit of an anti-climax yesterday, with traffic & enthusiasm levels noticeably down. MTT traffic was mostly meh, in fact Turbo actually missed by a few entries.

We did have some Final Table Jackpot sweats though - two in fact.

£1,000 BH £1,220

£6,000 Marksman Main £7,950

£2,000 Marksman Mini £2,065

£1,000 Mega £1,280

£2,000 Sheriff £2,250

£1,500 Turbo £1,500

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,640

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,120

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,220)

    melvin1958 took the opener. He has barely troubled my radar in over 16,000 MTT's apart from 99th in the Mini UKOPS Main this Spring. It's a bit weird - I've known half a dozen Melvins in my life & have taken a dislike - usually a completely illogical dislike - to every one of them. I'm sure this one is perfectly likeable though.

    With just 217 entries, Mody somehow eclipsed 20 of them himself & ended up with £570 in Head Prizes, which is quite the haul. He has history for doing this too with several instances where he has taken Heads galore. I watched him for a while last night & he was just hitting everything. Gl to him, we all have those nights occasionally. Very occasionally. He spent £11 on satellites to get in & took home some £1,640. Very nice.

    Runner-up Froozle was also 2nd in the previous night's Turbo. He has one of those lovely shiny spinning sapphire things on Sharky that all MTT-ers aspire to & very few achieve.

    3rd was PKRPar, the 2nd time in 4 nights he has run 3rd in a Main, so maybe he needs to learn to flip better. On 1st January he started a Forum Diary to chronicle his attempts at winning a Main Event. He writes well & gets good engagement so I thought that would be a great & long-running Forum thread. And it would have been if he did not achieve his goal within just 3 weeks & a handful of attempts. His exit last night was a bit brutal, his AK hit but villain with a baby pair also hit.

    In 6th was MRBLEWPIE which later proved to be interesting.

    @Mody 1325000 1 £1067.68 + £570.13 Head Prizes 20

    @Froozle 0 2 £637.19 + £170.51 Head Prizes 8

    @PKRPar 0 3 £380.01 + £55.03 Head Prizes 2

    @Psychob666 0 5 £254.40 + £57.13 Head Prizes 3

    £2,000 Mini Marksman (£2,065)

    This went to roughboy, who last appeared in these threads on Xmas Day when finishing 6th in Mid Ex.

    Got to feel for TKDROB, finishing 2nd in Mini two nights on the bounce, as he occupied the same spot in Sunday's Mini UKOPS Main.

    3rd was MRBLEWPIE, & with 6th in the Main he picked up £150 worth of Final Table Jackpot, plus any Prio Bonus applicable. He is in fine form as he won the Mini UKOPS PLO8 the previous night. Just a few weeks ago he won the Big Boys UKOPS PLO8 too.

    chrisdboy was 5 so we almost had two FTJ's the same night as he finished 11th in the Main.

    @roughboy 826000 1 £258.12 + £66.39 Head Prizes 10

    @TKDROB 0 2 £144.55 + £11.84 Head Prizes 5

    @MRBLEWPIE 0 3 £85.28 + £54.67 Head Prizes 12

    @Ubbi4820 0 4 £67.63 + £33.75 Head Prizes 7

    @chrisdboy 0 5 £56.79 + £30.16 Head Prizes 7

    @heddoh18 0 6 £45.95 + £15.43 Head Prizes 6

    GG to the FT, it did look like destiny for @Mody to win,Hats off to him. He has an awkward, unpredictable play style and appeared to be making hands which made it even more difficult to play against. I tilt shoved 2nd pair and a gut shot in the end to my own dismay. It appears i'm still suffering from 2nd&3rdiritis.
