I noticed that an Amazon Prime app had suddenly appeared on my tv.
I have had a couple of free trials of it previously, but that meant streaming it on my laptop.
Being able to watch it on my tv was much more appealing.
I didnt really want to spend any more money having just added Netflix.
So I decided to look at my bill to see if there was anything that I didnt need.
I never really scrutinise my bill which is remiss of me.
Amazon Prime is £7.99 per month, but you get other stuff as well.
My Sky Tv bill was £85 per month.
The stuff I didnt need was kids tv at £5 per month, and HD at £6.
In addition to this, as I am out of contract the website promised a further £4 reduction if I renewed for 18 months.
I thought thats good, I could save a couple of quid and get Amazon Prime free.
I tried to accomplish this on line, but the website seemed to be sending me around in circles.
So I had to get on the phone.
I explained to the guy about what I was looking for, and that I wanted to renew my contract.
He calculated for a minute, then said they could do it for £45 per month.
I queried this, and he admitted that he had made a mistake.
I made sure I am getting what I want, and they are doing it for £51.50 per month, including Netflix.
I was busy and didnt have time for a row about why they had been charging me so much.
I put a film on instead.
