Who won what Friday 25th December, Xmas Day

Good morning.

Well that Christmas day done & dusted, now we can enjoy a feast of fine sport.

The sport actually began at 11.30pm (UK) last night, with the famous Boxing Day Test, this time between Australia & India. It was played, as almost always, in bright sunshine & blistering heat, & with COVID rules much relaxed in that part of Australia, 30,000 fans were in the ground. So good to have fans back & genuine fan sounds, instead of those dreadful "clap tracks". Even better, Steve Sandpaper Smith was out for a duck, the Aussies were bowled out for 195, with India clicking up 36 for the loss of just one wicket.

Back home at Sky Poker, the decision to leave guarantees unchanged just about worked, with everything covering except BWBH, which missed by just 2 entries.

We'll run though the results briefly again, being Boxing Day & all that.

£6,000 BWBH £6,000

£10,000 Avenger Main £10,180

£4,000 Avenger Mini £4,475

£1,000 Mega £1,360

£2,000 Sheriff £2,050

£1,500 Turbo £1,590

£1,500 Quicky £2,060

£1,000 MidEx £1,560

£6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£6,000)

Two weeks ago sjl1973 won both Quicky & MidEx in a 26 hour period, & he notched up a far bigger win here for his hat trick, collecting just shy of £2,000 for his BWBH victory, roughly double his combined Quicky & MidEx profits. Very nice too.

No disrespect to sjl, but I was rather hoping The Bates would win this, as I've been mean to him all week & it would have been rather fitting to say "welcome back to the big time". Alas, it was not to be as he was not up to the task unlucky.

    @chapsfish 0 3 £465 0

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,180)

PBKR is going along splendidly, this was his third Main Event win since the Summer (Sharpy, Gold Rush & now Avenger), in addition he also ran 2nd in an Avenger, so that 4 x 4 figure cashes.

There has been an eye-opening improvement in form by runner-up OldBoyBob. Never made a penny in 6 years, until he suddenly popped up two nights ago with a Mega win. Then last night he was rampant, 4th of 90 in a fiver BH, 1st of 48 in the £1k BH @ 7.30pm, & then 2nd in the Main for £1,072. An extraordinary turnaround by any standards.

Another eye-opening result, as Jayc2k3 took the Mini for £700. He's been here for a year in which his biggest previous result was £89. Like OldBoyBob, his Sharky looks much much better this morning, with a lovely vertical end to the graph.

There's not a thing I can tell you about the winner, except his alias has never been uttered on the Forum.

2nd was missmorgan, a best result since binking the £1k BH in early October. Been here a long time has missmorgan, as the alias featured in the GaryQQQ results threads all those years ago.

In 3rd was Dooobs, managing a bit of poker after presumably getting his girls to bed after what I imagine was a testing day. I'm sure being a Dad is fun on Xmas morning, but wears a bit thin as the day goes on.

Another cash for Makaka, just 4th this time.

A special Merry Xmas to Hotwheals Carl, who was 6th.

The kids are fine Tikay; the eldest can look after herself now. Bed time she tells me she is nearly an adult; if I need any help I get "I am just a child".

Anyway you were right, I eventually got some peace around 10 from all 3 others in my house and made a quick escape.

BTW I shoved my last less than ten big blinds in with A9 suited elsewhere and got called by QQ and TT. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't really what I was hoping for. Flop Q9x, turn 9 and river 9. Merry Christmas indeed.
