Morning. Afternoon.
Grim news yesterday from Boris, Nicola & Co. On New Years Eve & New Years Day, all I heard & read was "well 2021 has to be better than 2020". CALL.
Anyway, back to business, & traffic was brisk last night. Typical Monday really, & broadly in line with the last comparable Monday, which was 21st December. (Last week was UKOPS, so not relevant).
SPT Online sats began yesterday so we'll include them each day too.

7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,330)
BRADERS11 has been AWOL for a week & promptly won his first MTT upon returning last night. Later he had a deep run in the Main as well, 8th for close to £300. Welcome back & all that.
2nd was JFLUSH, which sounds like some sort of toilet cleaner.
4th & 5th were two wily Sky Poker veterans in goldnballz & splashies.

Liverpool got turned over by Southampton last night, barely mustering a shot on target first half, but lpool67 got the job done here in good style. He was 3rd in the same MTT on 29th December, so he has C & D form.
I've been more than a little rude about loosecamel, though it's only bants, but he takes it in great heart. I'm starting to feel sorry for him now though. Last night, including this one, he made FIVE Final Tables. Finishing positions? 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th. He just needed a 1st & a 6th to complete the set.
4th was THETANK who won this the previous night, with Froozle 5th.
Swog played his first MTT's of 2021 & made a few deep runs. Wonder what "Swog" stands for?

nishg is long-term profitable here, & made over £10,000 in 2020. Taking down last night's Main he's made a good start at another profitable year.
Runner-up sabre played well but was not quite sharp enough to get the win, whilst in 3rd it was payday for Wages.

A quickfire double for THETANK, winning both the Mini and a £500 BH that went off at 7.40pm. He took down the £1k BH on Saturday too. He had to work hard for all three wins, so I guess he's a battle tank.
Great to see gpc70 in 5th, he's a Daily Forum Comp regular & a bit of a shrewdie with the horses.
6th was 1317, who I well remember from back in the days of Sky Poker TV.

pager last beeped on October 24th when finishing 5th in Mega, so the win last night will have felt good.
The Bates was 3rd, & shortly after 2nd in Sheriff. He's been a bit below par recently, but maybe the giant has been woken now. Only a little giant, mind.

£2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,150)
A night after running 5th & 3rd in Turbo & Quicky respectively, grinddd took Sheriff. It's early days yet of course, but that puts him 9th in the Sky Poker 2021 MTT Leaderboard.
Runner-up The Bates is in the top 19 of that leaderboard too.
The codfather was having one of his Mario Ballotelli nights, finishing 6th but somehow managing to lose money. For balance, he won the same comp the previous night, & rumour has it he binked big on another site last night. Yes, it's true, there are other sites apparently.

SPT Online Semi (25 entries)
There's a cracking story here, & I hope it does not come across as condescending, but I see JACKDAW won himself a £220 SPT Online seat. He did it the hard way, starting with a 1 seat guaranteed Micro, which he won, then he got through the Quarter, eventually running 3rd in the Semi & bagging himself a £220 seat. I'm pretty sure he rarely plays at anything like this level, so sitting with the Big Boys in a £220 two-dayer will be really quite something special. I'm sure we all have fond memories of our first shot at a biggie, & as he was a regular in the MML last year he won't lack for enthusiastic railers. Be the best thing ever if he made Day 2, & he'll be able to claim the title of the best corvid on Sky Poker. Now that would be something to crow about.
