First of all happy new year all. Since the 27th December, in 18 MTT’s, I’ve won 2, final tabled a further two and final table bubbled two. What I’m asking is does anyone of any articles or advice for the late stages of MTT’s. I can’t even blame lost flips for losing, it’s been nothing but bad play. Two tournaments in particular I was chip leader by a mile and just played so sloppy.

Thanks in advance!

Not the most detailed and only the last part directly relevant - but it gives a good framework and approach to build on. Very easy read (or listen, I've got the audiobook).

Sections on how to consider payout jumps and play different stack sizes at the final table are very good.

Late stages of MTTs are all about blocker betting for protection and denying equity in general. When at 20 BB deep you TP and 2nd pair are gonna lose full stack to better value in most spots so so you now look to prevent his over cards and draws from seeing the next card.
I also notice lots of weak value getting blocker bets, the idea with this is you are gonna make it much harder for villian to extract value with his stronger value combos and he cannot bluff them out so easily because you should be betting your strong combos small and therefore he can lose his full stack agains them.

In the tournaments where you are chip leader then the game is all about being a bully, you can raise more wider and when they call you make a bet size based on what you aim to do, some of the hands will be getting blocker bet other parts of your range are gonna bet big, the idea is a short stack is gonna have a difficult time because he can lose his full stack to your strength and at the same time he doesn't want to over fold your small bets.
