We were reintroduced to that dreaded word last night - overlay. Mega, Sheriff & Turbo all missed guarantees. Meh. There was some decent football on, so that may have contributed.

Huge fun in the Main as a whole bunch of the boys went very deep.

scooby78 took the 7 @ 7 & makes his results thread debut. Serial cashed RCord was 6th, & the estate workers will all get a free slice of cake today after Enut cashed in 7th.

I'm a bit thin on creative energy today, so all I can do to celebrate scooby's win is post a YT video of "Scooby Snacks" by a band named Fun Lovin Criminals who I had a thing for many years ago. I went to a gig they did at Sheffield Uni & they were absolute garbage, but I still love their biggest selling single.

Swimmr was last seen on 30th December when he took down Sheriff & then disappeared. He returned last night & won the very first MTT he played. WAL. Later last night he ran 5th in Turbo. He had a really good 2020 on Sky Poker, making a very handy 5 figure sum.

2nd was Yoda. I used to work for a wonderful man by the name of John Kirkland. Loved him to bits & still do. The years had not been kind to him & he was a little wrinkled & wizened. His nickname was "Yoda" but I had no idea why, as I've never watched children's films. So one day we were on a long drive together & I just asked him "why do they call you Yoda?". I survived a further 20 years with him so I must have been quite good at my job I suppose.

    £8,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£8,580)

Well well well, how about this - Uncle Ungolate won the Main. Satted in, too. We've had some fun at his expense for his ability to final without winning & he took it all in great heart, but he had the last laugh last night by winning the Main & some £1,500. Prior to that his biggest cash in the last 400+ games was about £300. Perseverance is all, variance is a **** & all that. Could not be more pleased for him.

Shrimpy finalled too, eventually coming 5th, whilst the very much improved Swog ran 8th. No surprise to see Swog doing so well, but Shrimpy 5th in a Main? What a powerful force variance must be. The heavy hitters at the big Spin Up tables will have been rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of Shrimpy winning £1,500. Still, almost £400 is a decent snack for them & will only take around 5 minutes to harvest.

On an otherwise miserable night of a bad weather & Lockdown combo, all this actually sent me to bed smiling. Admiration for loosecamel & Swoggy, sheer wtf? for the adolescent Shrimpers. Well done chaps, terrific stuff.

    £2,000 Mini Predator (£2,215)

treaclesm8 has had a handful of decent results, including 2nd in Sheriff a week ago, but I don't recall him ever having a result like this.

We can't seem to keep seikus out of these threads at the moment & last night was no exception - 5th in the Mini, 2nd in Mega & 3rd in Sheriff. That makes 12 Featured MTT Finals in 2021.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

BRADERS11 took Mega, adding it to the 7 @ 7 he won last week.

This was the 2nd of the hat trick of seikus cashes, while bigfatfish was having his 2nd Final of the session too.

The Bates was attempting to win Mega for the 2nd straight night & 3rd time this year but came up just shy. The sleeping giant is awakening.

Swog, 8th in the Main was 9th here, then went on to be 2nd in MidEx, climaxing a fruitful night for him.

tonyp142 had another solid session, 7th here & also winning himself a £220 SPT Online seat.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,500)

On the face of it this was a spectacular win for Rocket, having to fend off a table full of in-form & very good players.

Both 2nd & 3rd - The Bates & Seikus - had also cashed in the preceding Mega, MAGPIETYKE has run 2nd in both 7 @ 7 & the Mini in the last week, while Nitrogen & Mmmchicken have both been positively rampant recently.

    £2,000 Quickdraw (£2,280)

Quicky went to the very formal sounding MPWebster & he completed a double by winning a fiver BH that ran early this morning.

He must have done well to win this too - look at that final table, skyflyer (2nd in the Main earlier), RCord, M10Dembele, Mean Machine & Crushy.

@Tikay10 : I love that this tourney gets added to your daily round up. This and an amazing heater run last night meant no rebuys needed (other than the add on), usually average 3-5 rebuys ☺️
