Would you make use of the ability to show chips and bets in terms of bb if the function existed ?

Just something that occurred to me as frequently I lose track of who has what in relation to big blinds remaining etc.

Feel free to state your reasons

Not for me, I appreciate that some people like it, but I just like to see the chip counts. I don't know why but say 100 BB's in level one, feels different to me than 100 BB's at level 15 or 20. So I like to see the actual number.

Also when you play live, you have no help like that, so can cause "bad practice" when relied upon.

I do agree that it would be good to have as an option for those who'd want to use it.

One could argue though, to keep the game most "life like" that calculating the number of big blinds, should be something that is done by the Poker Player, not the software.

I ask Google verbally for an oral conversion if I can't do it in my head.

If it was available I would use it - I have done on other sites. Particularly for cash it makes bet sizing easier and helps with the mental maths of moving between stakes when playing cash - also for cash it takes away the "OMG that's a lot of money" emotion as you shove in the middle a decent chunk of change.

However... that said I agree with @StayOrGo that in tournaments I like to see the stack size and on sites where it's available I often flick between the two settings in MTTs.

The nice thing about Sky is that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other sites - the lack of huds is a huge change of pace and while the lack of options can be frustrating it does feel more like a live game and plays more like it as a result.

I would use it for quick reference to stacks around me. I would find it especially useful when I have a lot of tables on the go and in a tough spot.

No, let the **** math regs suffer :)

In all seriousness, I would prefer in chips, especially for bounty hunters/PKOs. Having said that, if there was the option to switch between whilst in a hand, I would use it.

Being able to display chip stacks in BB is a good thing knowing you have limited time to make decisions. I have timed out in a couple of spots when trying to use the right betsize for a 1:1 P:S ratio.

I do agree with what stayorgo, we shouldn't be getting so much help from software that's for sure, but one arguement is you have far more time to think about your decisions and stack sizes but online poker you only have limited time.
