Frank Lampard to be sacked by Chelsea

Frank Lampard is set be sacked by Chelsea less than 24 hours after the club's FA Cup victory over Luton Town.

Confirmation could come as soon as today after Chelsea players were told not to report to the training ground until this afternoon.

Chelsea are currently on a poor run of form in the Premier League, losing five of their last eight games and well off the pace, struggling to get into the top four.

Never understood why he was appointed (other than he was a player legend for them).

Look at his record at Derby-sold lots of established players, and got expensive loan players, and players at the very end of their careers to replace them. Could see why that was good for Frank Lampard-but certainly not for Derby, particularly now.

Failed to be promoted-with that squad, should have been top 2.

Wholesale changes at Chelsea-anyone got any idea who is definitely in their 1st 11? Too many changes at the 1 time, and too many new players new to the Premier League. All at a massive cost.

Consistently sought to blame the players for underperforming.

He might, in time, be a good Manager. But he is not right now.

To expect anyone to successfully run a PL club with virtually no management experience is to say the least, extremely optimistic.

To publicly criticise players is foolish and will never generate loyalty.

There used to be an oath which managers of anything used to respect, which was to b0ll0ck in private, and praise in public.

@HAYSIE agreed. You never heard Ferguson slate players in public, thry just got loaned out or sold.
