A one-off quiz

EssexphilEssexphil Member Posts: 8,774
Many, many years ago I used to set/compete in quizzes. I thought I would set a quick quiz by way of a warm-up to @Quickfeet's excellent Sunday quiz.

Please-no looking things up on the web, or (at least) don't do so and post the answers. Here goes:-

1. Which person appeared in just these 3 films (and no other cinema films):-
Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and The Italian Job?

2. Joe Biden is the 46th US President-how many men have preceded him?

3. What do Boris Johnson and Jim Callaghan (the 1970s PM) have in common?

4. Who was the 1958 Hong Kong Cha Cha Cha champion?

5. Who was the first team to beat England at football at Wembley?

6. What is the closest country to mainland Australia?

7. What do these 1960s/70s England cricket captains all have in common? Colin Cowdrey, Ted Dexter, Tony Lewis, Mike Denness and Tony Greig

8. What do these authors have in common:-Emily Bronte, Anna Sewell and Margaret Mitchell?

9. Which famous character has the first name "Scoobert"?

10. Grover Cleveland is famous for doing which two jobs twice?

    3. I know that Jim Callaghan held all 4 main jobs in politics but I don't think Boris would've been trusted as Chancellor of the Exchequer.
