When you want to leave a comment but know as a white guy you'll be branded a privilaged colonial racist.
Exactly. All these typeS of stories are there to create division. Unfortunately, there are so many brainwashed folks that can’t think or work things out for themselves.
I get so angry when the woke generation feel able to spout their ill informed cr4p and do it under the freedoms and rights that people like Capt. Sir Tom fought for.
The clap isnt anything other than a Nation showing thanks and appreciation to one of its citizens for going above and beyond and people who look to find hidden agendas are the real ones with a problem.
The woke, entitled, millenial, I know my rights, snowflake, reality tv obsessed generation make me wanna puke.

Sorry, rant over.
And their default position if you happen to disagree with them is that you're a facist nazi who should be locked up. Better yet they don't see the irony of their de-platform descenting voices mantra.

Different generations have always viewed one another with suspicion. That is unlikely ever to change. I'm in the "Baby Boomer" generation as, I suspect, are most people who hold your opinion. So let me speak on behalf of younger generations.
"Entitled"? My generation had free education, enough Council Housing, cheap houses/available mortgages, mostly full employment, final salary pensions, and retirement at 60/65 (or earlier for many). And, having spent all that money on ourselves, pulled the drawbridge up behind us.
So people are now "entitled" to have student debts of £50k, live with their parents in their 30s, be the first to be laid off in their jobs, and work til they are 70 so that we don't have to. Because we felt entitled.
I look at the opportunities I had as a young man. And I don't see those same opportunities for my kids.
I understand your point completely although I would point out that young people today have more opportunity than my generation ever did.
However, that aside it is the fact that they feel they can comment and pass judgement on everything before they have any real life experience. Also the belief that their opinions are without challenge and somehow enforceable on us all really does bring out the worst in me.
Its their inability to accept that some of their mis informed, internet led diatribe is as offensive to me as some of the opinions and cultures of the 70s and 80s are to them.
Their covid denying, 5G mast conspiracy, all white people are inherently racist, attitudes say it all.

It's not one I agree with, but the beauty of living in a democracy is that people can have opinions I find to be rather unpleasant.
Like the Daily Mail, for example.

Covid deniers? All ages. Easy to be less scared of something when it is far less likely to kill you. I got chicken pox in my 40s-scary.
"5G"? Almost all my generation, cos that is where fear of technology lives.
Tell you what made me feel old. Most millenials are now in their 30s, and some are in their 40s. Soon they will be on our side, attacking Gen Z....
