Leigh and Richard (pictured, main, and inset, with Kevin McCloud), who until recently lived in Derbyshire, appeared on Channel 4's Grand Designs last night. The couple splashed out £300,000 transforming a derelict 17th-century flour mill into a contemporary, three-bedroom home - and butted heads with presenter Kevin McCloud. Disagreeing with Kevin's opinion on conservative repair, Leigh said: 'I don't give a t*** what they think.,' to which he joked: 'Well, that's me told!' And viewers were left in shock by the rising tensions between the three, with one writing: Wow, talking s*** about Kevin while the cameras roll during the build you invited him onto. Basic b****.'

Just watched the episode and for people to be up in arms about anything said and that "viewers were left in shock" just about sums up the 'social media' and the 'what can I be offended by today' mentality of people nowadays. The owners did a great job of saving what they could and replacing what was needed and their emotional reaction at the end of the programme showed how much they actually cared for the building. All in all a lot of fuss about nothing but that's what the keyboard generation thrive on.
