yeah I had this today and I had it yesterday too it is very frustrating I am also playing on another site and its difficult to quit out of the client and re open it.
Also since I am now using stack and tile it can be that when a table is frozen I may not even notice. so this could be costing me more money then I realise I hope this gets fixed soon.
I've spoken to the Office this morning about this. All 6 players were frozen out when the Final started, the other 5 only missed a hand or two as they quickly closed & re-opened the Client, but in your case after starting the Final in 6th place you blinded out & eventually finished 4th. By way of an apology Sky Poker have paid you a goodwill gesture which should be in your account now.
The whole thing has been passed to the Tech Team who will continue to try & remedy it. I can't give a timescale but they are aware & on it. If & when I hear further I will update everyone.
It's not right, of course it's not, but should it happen again, quickly closing the Client & then re-opening it seems to do the trick, albeit it's a bit of a PITA.
This happens at the cash tables too - playing 10 tables and 1 will freeze. I keep my phone nearby and load up the app when it happens - the frozen table will usually open on the app instantly, if you're quick/ lucky enough you wont miss the hand.
For tournaments you could load the frozen table on your phone and play until the break then restart the client.

I tend to log out and back in, even when other games going, so only miss a few hands on each table normally.
I figure it's worth missing a few hands on my other tables to get them all up and running again. Not ideal though.
@Tikay10 I think this is still happening for most players "fairly regularly"
