Who won what, Thursday 18th February

A very good Friday morning to you.

I used to love Friday's, TGIF & all that, but what with Lockdown & everything it's no different to any other day of the week now. If we ever get out of this COVID situation, boy oh boy I'm never going to take anything for granted again.

Last night's MTT traffic? Nothing to report really, down a little w-o-w, but that's a time of month thing. Online gaming traffic very much revolves around the monthly payday cycle.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,162

£1,000 BH £1,660

£8,000 Hitman £9,030

£2,000 Mini £2,200

£1,500 Mega £1,760

£2,500 Sheriff £2,800

£1,500 Reload £1,893

£2,000 Turbo £2,000

£2,000 Quicky £2,160

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,162)

    rizzee took 7 @ 7 to make his Results Thread debut. Just 120 MTT's to his credit, so this may well be a PB.

    Formosina was 2nd, & it was the start of an outstanding night for him, as we shall later see. Same comments apply to DUTCHESS62, more on which later.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,660)

    I'm not doing very well today, as with the 7 @ 7 I know nothing about the winner & this is his maiden Results Thread entry.

    The Bates continues to fire on three cylinders, 2nd here & 3rd in Mega later in the evening.

    Guitar Bloke was 6th. We don't see nearly enough of him these days but he had a solid session last night, making 3 Finals from the 273 MTT's he played. Perhaps best of all he was 4th of 84 in a £2 MTT. It's so important in poker to know the level you can beat.

    £8,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£9,030)

    Hmm, I'm having a really bad time today, yet again I know very little about the winner, except that he ran 3rd in Marksman Main just before Christmas. On Wednesday he played three Freerolls (total return £1) & the Mini (unplaced). Last night he single tabled the Main the whole way. His average buy-in is about £4, so I've no inkling as to why or how he came to play the Main, but it sure worked out well for him.

    Early doors I thought Shrimpy was going to win this, he was motoring along so well. But then he ran into the absolute flopped nuts & his BET POT button stuck down, giving it the full whack on every street until he had emptied the clip. That sure ended well.

    £2,000 Mini Hitman (£2,200)

    Well well well, we have a story at last. coolhanal was winning a Bounty Hunter Mini for the 2nd time in 8 nights, he's also ran 2nd & 3rd in BH Minis recently. Which is interesting, as Mr coolhanal is the gentleman who started the thread with the title;

    who thinks the whole site need a change

    The thrust of that thread (I think....) was embodied in the Opening Post:

    "far too many bounty games"

    So he's won 2 BH Minis in just over a week, plus a 2nd & 3rd in BH Minis. Not bad for someone who is not mad keen on BH's. Be careful what you wish for coolhanal. And yes, I just know I'm going to regret writing that.

    Anyway, all that aside, very well done Mr coolhanal. If I may enquire, how did you arrive at the alias "coolhanal"?

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,760)

    RobRenzi has now won Mega twice in the last 5 nights, as well as 3rd in a Main. Great work Rob.

    hoban01, who has a Turbo won in his CV, was 2nd.

    When players register for the Mega they must dread being drawn on the same table as Bates. In 2021 alone he's made the Final 9 times, winning it 4 times. God help us all when he's firing on all cylinders again.

    There was a 2nd cash of the session for DUTCHESS62 in 6th.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,800)

    The RCord just keeps turning, he's now won 3 Quickdraws, a Reload, a BWBH & a Sheriff in the first 6 weeks of 2021.

    Nitrogen stuck to 2 tables, as he so often does, & 4th here ensured a solid ROI on the evening. Sometimes less is more.

    Many congrats to Formosina for a terrific session - 2nd in 7 @ 7, 1st in Reload, & 3rd in Turbo. Terrific stuff.

    I know nothing of the runner-up except that's a truly fabulous alias.

    This was one for the form horses, with the 2nd, 3rd & 4th all making multiple Finals last night.

    In 6th was clockerbob who showed improved form to win this the previous night & came close to doing so again.

    £2,000 Quickdraw (£2,160)

    The Codster won this. I'm increasingly convinced he is one of the best MTT-ers on the site but does not always fully apply himself. Sort of like the poker equivalent of Dele Alli or Paul Pogba - supremely gifted but sometimes cba.

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,740)

    Earlier I mentioned that Formosina had a great session, with a 1st, a 2nd & a 3rd.

    Arguably though DUTCHESS62 had an even better session - 5th in 7 @ 7, 6th in Mega, 4th in Turbo & 1st in MidEx. He (?) only played 5 MTT's too, so that's a win & 4 finals from 5 games. Can anyone beat that?

    6th was Duesenberg, though he failed to take any bounties.

    Honourable mention;

    For running 5th in the Main despite being completely outclassed;

    @Shrimpy28

    For his 2nd BH Mini victory in 8 days, the man who does not like Bounty Hunters;

    @coolhanal

    POTD

    This is shared today, I can't separate these two;

    For 2nd in 7 @ 7, 1st in Reload, & 3rd in Turbo;

    @Formosina

    For 5th in 7 @ 7, 6th in Mega, 4th in Turbo & 1st in MidEx;

    You must all remember Roxette, who had such a monster hit with It Must Have Been Love.

    I only discovered yesterday that the "girl" - (actually, she was 61) Marie Fredriksson died in 2019.

    Haha, thank you! I went out in a spectacular ball of fire with A3 suited vs A3 suited and losing to a flush. I'm hoping for some better play this evening!

    Worst write-up of the year so far. I only played 264 MTTs last night, not 273, and everybody knows that the £2.20 rebuy I came 4th in is one of the toughest events in the schedule.

    Your standards are slipping almost as much as your dentures these days.
