Who won what, Monday 22nd February

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,915

Morning.

On the poker streets, it was a typical Monday, but the news from Boris of a timetable to exit Lockdown provided a remarkable fillip. We all just have to be patient now, & be sensible - hands, face, space etc - & then just maybe, come mid June, we can start getting out & about again. I fear for what may happen when we finally get the green light - if people start being daft & holding street parties or whatever, we will all have another bill to pay.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,274)

7 @ 7 went to Card4Life. This guy has now had at least 20 MTT wins this year, mostly at the £5 & £10 buy-in level & seems to be very profitable considering his volume & the stakes he plays. It was his first Featured MTT win of the year, though he did run 2nd in Reload.

I noticed young Shrimpy was the FT bubbler. I really like him, he's all enthusiasm, & anyone who loves the BBC as much as he does can't be all bad, although it's a shame his enthusiasm is not even remotely matched by his ability. Earlier in the day he played 4 £1 HU games, winning 3. That seems to be more like his level, imo.

Got to love anyone who appends myster to their alias, & beefmyster had a terrific night - 1st in this, then repeating the trick in the Mega an hour or so later.

neenio is in his eighth year on Sky Poker and had almost 18,000 MTT's to his name, but I doubt he's ever had a better night than last night. Not content with winning the Main, he was 2nd in the £1k BH & 5th in MidEx. In 2021 alone he's won 7 @ 7 three times, £1k BH twice, Reload, MidEx & now a Main.

We don't see @The--Don in too many Main Events, and he was a little unfortunate not to make the money spots, exiting in 217th of 238.

Kerrnal has had a handful of wins this year but this was the first Featured MTT triumph.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,700)

A second win of the evening for beefmyster, though this was a much weaker final table, populated by the likes of @loosecamel & @Duesenberg. A quick shout-out to loosecamel who is going through a rough time at the tables - just variance, we've all been there - but he takes it like a man & I've never once heard him bemoan his luck.

Quite surprised to see NOSTRI in 7th, a big step up from the Micro stakes MTT's where he's viewed by some as reasonably competent.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,500)

ufud & M10Dembele, who are acquainted with each other via the Scottish live poker scene, took 1st & 2nd here, beating off a remarkably difficult final table.

FeNdeR36, our newly-adopted Guitar Bloke, continued his fine recent form in 6th. It's only a few weeks since he won a 607 runner Mini.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,920)

Doubt jonny1982x has ever won Reload before, & I'm delighted for him. For balance, it was a final table of relatively modest players, with the following pack headed by PKRPar & lukeylund9.

The best player, & by some way, was nishg who could only finish 4th.

    @jonny1982x 1748000 1 £257.86 + £109.77 Head Prizes 12

    £2,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

The talented roddy28 took Turbo, as well as 3rd in the £1k BH earlier. He won 7 @ 7 a few days ago too. Proper player with a ridiculous ROI.

tracyswise won Sunday's Reload, & was just one spot shy of two wins in two nights, & in fact it would have been two Turbo wins in 8 days.

Shout out for Graham @StayOrGo who also finished 1st in a $109 affair for over $12k 'elsewhere' last night.

......looks like his coaching is paying off ;) Plus, he has some tokens now for the upcoming Cheltenham Festival next month.

    Well played G.

    Well done Graham @StayOrGo

    Thanks @Tikay10 @MAXALLY and all

The lads in the Zoom training sessions have definitely helped my game.

I valuable all their feedback, but if I had to single one person out that has helped my game the most then it is @thisltedu.

Donald has helped me so much, to have a greater awareness and understanding of differing styles to my own, and has also filled some gaps in "GTO" scenarios. He often spends a great deal of time researching spots on my behalf, and then feeding back to me.

Here's a link Pokerstars sent (I think you'll recongnise those voices @Tikay10 ) and also a shameless video of my victory celebration.
