Morning.
Amazing how quickly the weeks fly by, Sunday's seem to come round twice a week these days.
The sun is shining this morning, the trees are starting to blossom, & I gather today is St David's Day, which I believe is a Welsh thing.

February was yet another good month for goldnballz, who ended it by winning 7 @ 7. Every month is the same for Keith, he just keeps making a small but steady profit month after month. His "secret" is he knows what level he can beat & sticks to it.
The same cannot be said for LmfaoAllin who does not have a level he can beat but is as likely to turn up in a £100 MTT as a £2 jobbie. He's always welcome in cash games too - a feeling I know well.

kweliuk seems to have just ~300 MTT's to his name and had already won two Quickdraws & a Mid Ex (all in December) but this was far & away a PB. It was only the 5th MTT he played here in February too.
cabbaz (2nd) won the £1,000 version of this earlier in the week.
In 4th was Kerrnal who went on two win two smaller MTT's later in the session, so a good night for him.

pacman821, twice winner of Marksman Main in two months last Autumn, took the Major. He has an interesting style of play, not sure it qualifies as GTO but it seems to work for him & this will be a popular win for sure.
In 3rd was ValueJL, who, if Sharky is to be believed, is one of the best MTT-ers on the site, with a rating of 96.

£2,500 Mini Major (£2,620)
The Mini went to 3265, who has plenty of small wins to his credit, & went on to win another late last night to make it a double on the evening.
Groucho64 rarely features in these reports but finished 6th, so top marx to him.
In 12th was hugomuck, who won his seat via the Daily Forum, Comp, so his £34.06 was all profit.

£1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,780)
The--Don began the day with 5th in MidEx, took a shot at the Major, which did not go too well, & finished with a flourish by easily winning Mega. If he had the patience I fancy he'd do better at MTT's than he does at cash, a versatility which is normal in younger folk but quite unusual in a man of his age.
Decent FT for a Mega, with MAGPIETYKE 3rd, ctbn 4th, & beefmyster 5th. lukeylund9 made a bold attempt at winning it on successive nights, eventually finishing 6th.
On my own little rating system, the top 7 finished in the exact order of their poker ability.

Quite surprised to see alancarr12 in the line-up, he plays a lot of £100 & £200 HU stuff but only played 4 MTT's in February. He booked the win despite the presence of some seriously good players including M10Dembele, destinycod & heddoh.

A 4th win in a few weeks for Arrogant - Sharpshooter Main, MidEx & Turbo (twice).
2nd was ufud who has some seriously big results on his CV.
3rd was Mr Channing. He knows more about horse racing than anyone I know, so if he happens to read this, I'd be interested in his views on the Gordon Elliott thing.

Hon Mention
For continuing his transition from Cash to MTT's & taking down Mega in fine style, a masterpiece of nitty patience;
@The--Don
Has to be the winner of the Major whilst showing a deep understanding of MTT ranges;
@pacman821
This track is almost 50 years old and has aged wonderfully;

...I think basically some people are quite anti-racing on horse welfare grounds and I don't generally find it hard to defend the sport against those attacks as I can rightly say that these horses are bred to race, they wouldn't be born if it wasn't for racing, and they are treated like kings and loved by the staff that look after them.
Anything that happens that makes it harder for me to either believe that myself or to make that argument is terrible for the future of the sport and this picture has really made it harder on both counts.
The picture is a kick in the teeth to the staff at almost all other stables who truly love and care for their horses. I feel for them today.
I think it's possible that his license is taken away permanently and he is finished in the sport and I sort of think that should happen. At the least he'll lose his license temporarily. If his license is suspended then he may not be able to run horses at Cheltenham and owners can instantly move them.
I guess it will come down to who stands by him. Your man Michael O'Leary and his Gigginstown Stud are sticking by him, Betfair have immediately ended his sponsorship and Chevely Park who own one of his short-priced Cheltenham favourites are waiting to decide.
Thanks @NChanning
Nasty business.
