Who won what, Sunday 7th March. Stunning Sunday Major win by PBKR & we have a Lady Sheriff

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,887

Afternoon.

Most school children across the UK are returning to school today so whatever happens today is a good day, because that signals the start of a return to near normality. We've all suffered in different ways, not helped by the conspiracy theorists, but maybe there's now a light at the end of the tunnel. Glory be.

Meanwhile it was a steady night at the Sky Poker MTT tables, with the Major at a 7 week low, but the £6,000 BH at a 4 week high. Make of that what you will.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,281

£6,000 BH £9,300

£15,000 Sunday Major £16,200

£2,500 Mini £2,510

£1,500 Mega £1,660

£2,500 Sheriff £2,500

£1,500 Reload £2,031

£2,000 Turbo £2,000

£2,000 Quickdraw £2,240

£1,500 MidEx £1,500

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,281)

    Well done pedrobob. He usually plays just one MTT per night - the 7 @ 7 - & last finalled it in January when he ran 6th, so he must have loved getting the win at last.

    In 2nd was FeNdeR36 who has been consistently profitable for the last 12 months. This year he's already won a 607 runner Mini & 243 runner Reload, and this was another good score for him.

    DivsDream took the £6,000 to the certain delight of his army of fans. He had a great night actually, 1st in this, 6th in Turbo & 5th in Quickdraw.

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£16,200)

    This was an extraordinary win. With 2 tables left PBKR found himself with just over 1 BB after a bit of an accident, got lucky & then spun it up into a winning stack. He does OK across several sites but this was his best result here in the near 10 years (on & off) he's been with Sky Poker. And for good measure, he binked £100 in today's Golden Ticket Giveaway.

    No surprise to see peir in 2nd, he was 3rd for around £6,600 in the recent SPT Online & is certainly top drawer.

    Palace Bloke was 3rd. I have no means of checking this, but of the 10 MTT's we cover every night, has anyone made more Finals in 2021? At SPT's the locals hate him, as he's got a bit of an eclectic range, but he's fearless & it works for the little fella. And don't bother insulting him, water off a duck's back to him.

    For a while HAYSIE aka WHY SHOULD I FOLD? looked like winning it but things went wrong towards the end. His poor wife will have heard all about it afterwards, but hopefully she just said "yes dear, no dear" rather than taking issue. Arguing with him is a futile exercise, he just wears you down.

    I thought Friday's hero @Shrimpy28 might be in the shake up as he had good chips throughout but he butchered a hand in sensational style & that was that. Even so, a good result for the likeable plumpster.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,660)

    Deary me, what a bunch of awkward shaped boxes were on this Final Table. Likeable, obviously, but they've all got their own ideas about the game.

    Slightly disappointed that The--Don still can't make his mind up whether to play cash or MTT's. He rarely lacks an opinion, & he's a deep thinker & his views generally make sense, but a basic "cash or MTT?" choice seems beyond him. If @Shrimpy28 can win a Main Event I'm pretty sure Reg can, but he seems reluctant to commit. Has anyone ever met him? His indecisiveness makes me wonder if Reg is male or female. I just can't decide.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£2,231)

    For a £3 jobbie this one is notoriously difficult to win. It's weird how poker works, but if the best MTT players on the site played this I doubt they would win it more than once every hundred attempts.

    It was a good night for bustout though, 4th in the Mini Major then the win here.

    Easy decisions today.

    Hon Mention

    For winning Sheriff against some really good players, especially on the eve of International Women's Day;

    @IrishRose

    POTD

    A really popular win in the Major means it has to go to;

    @PBKR

    Great win for the best current Streamer from SkyPoker @PKRPar @PBKR .

    I believe @IrishRose also got into the Sheriff from an AIPF sat. VERY well done.

    Thank you @Tikay10 and all for the nice comments. I was shorty for most of the last 3 hours and never thought I'd get to the FT. To be honest - I did do my usual - i.e. got very lucky with a couple of hands to keep me in the game. My small pocket 33 managed to win somehow against pocket QQ (was all in pre as I didn't have much left) and I hit a full house. I had other lucky hands aswell though - like my AQ v AK etc so yes Mr @Tikay10 - I really did get mainly lucky at the right times!
