Would like some help with this hand please. Villain here seems very solid and has not made any errors so far that I have seen.
I raise tens and immediately get the click back which put a massive pause in my stride. I had played a few pots with villain and this was the first time they had done this. Straightaway I was thinking overpair or broadways and I ended up playing the hand backwards.
Thanks Danny

On the flop, you need to be betting bigger-at least half pot, probably closer to pot. To price out overcards/take any A 9 to the cleaners.
Rest plays itself.
TT is something you should value bet turn, your combo is one of those which is blocking his river bluffing range and unblocking his river value betting range.
When you bet turn you are gonna deny combos like AK AJ KJ KTs and flush draws getting to see a free river, you get to extract value from any 9x combos he might have and when he does call you can check back river.
A9s would be a better check combo because this unblocks bluffs, it blocks his river value and it's less vunerable to combos like AK AJ.
another good think about A9 is it can bluff raise more on river since it blocks the calling range and unblocks folding range (be extremely careful if you do bluff raise ensuring he thin value bets)
