Morning.
From the perspective of performance, UKOPS Day 2 did even better than Day 1, with prize pools coming in 57% north of guarantees. I'm no expert in these things but I certainly never expected numbers of that magnitude. Still 5 days to go, including some biggies, but it's off to the best possible start.
All the more surprising is that the numbers were so good despite England being live on TV, which ended up as a 1-0 thriller with slabhead scoring. Maybe not so surprising after all.

UKOPS 07 £1,500 PLO8 (£2,360)
In 4 years here Chrismags has played just 439 MTT's, but in the last 4 months he's really started to pile the coals on with 1st & 2nd in BWBH, 4th in a Sunday Major, & several Sheriff wins. His stock rose further last night when he took down the UKOPS PLO8.
The 68Trebor Bankroll Challenge received a further boost with £236 for third, with the very highly rated ValueJL 4th.
Amongst the cashees were cabbaz, tonyp142, Doooobs & Whizzy.
Just sneaking into the paid places was @NChanning, who seemed to spend all evening exiting tournaments a spot or two either side of the bubble.

UKOPS 08 £10,000 Rebuy (£15,850)
This was the Day 2 Main. The eventual winner, sam1234, had this sewn up a long way out. He had been here 11 years without pulling up too many trees until last September when he ran 3rd in the inaugural SPT Online for £5,500. Last night's UKOPS victory added another £4,300 to his record, so that's close to £10,000 from those two MTT's alone.
No surprise to see a quality FT for this one, with Super Duper Oli 2nd, ValueJL (2nd cash of the evening) 4th & tonyp142 a very fine 5th.
cabbaz, 8th in the opener, was 7th this time, with The Codster 9th.
In the opening UKOPS 07 @NChanning was 14th with 15 paid, this time he was 30th with 30 paid. Cutting it fine then.

UKOPS 09 £4,000 Mini Rebuy (£6,920)
Hands up who thought the Mini would award a first prize of £1,800? Amazing stat.
That £1,800 went to podraic who has been here 13 long years & this was easily a personal best.
2nd was sandforddd, who has been fishing in much deeper waters elsewhere of late & this would be very small beer for him.
Kahuna was 4th, with Jac35 the surprise package in 6th for a very useful £325. Within the week that will be either a few thousand or zero, he tends to have a very swingy bankroll.
MAXALLY was 13th, 8 spots ahead of The--Don who has a very Marmite view of MTT's, depending on his mood. He says he dislikes playing them, so maybe someone puts a gun to his head.
The loveable Lincolnshire Sausage, shrimpy, was 27th with PKRPar trailing in a few spots behind.

For the 2nd straight day we saw a triple UKOPS winner. rossybee won UKOPS 10 last Easter, UKOPS 23 at Christmas, & completed the three-timer in UKOPS 10 last night. Terrific. He won a Summit a month ago too.
Strong FT this, with miniman returning to form at last in 2nd, multiple UKOPS winner MRBLEWPIE in 3rd, and Morris707 4th.
DESERTTURK, who had that lovely Gold Rush win last week for £1,650 was 6th.

If the bookies priced up roddy28 to win a UKOPS it would have been a max bet, especially if you can get quarter odds 4 places with Sky Bet or Denise. He's already won two Mains in March - Marksman & Avenger - & he ended the month with a UKOPS title.Crushy was 2nd, and UKOPS 10 winner an hour or so earlier rossybee 6th.
There was an amazing array of big hitters in the money, including Dooobs, Tedson, chrisdonkb, Groggs, Jessieak, & ufud.
@NChanning continued his run of exits on or around the bubble, 15 paid here & was 17th. Still, two out of three ain't bad, as Meat Loaf famously warbled.
