Who won what, Tuesday 6th April. After the Lord Mayor's Show

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,845

Morning.

After the excitement of UKOPS, last night was bound to be a bit flat, & so it proved. Despite reduced guarantees, both the Main & Summit only just got over the line. A very odd time all-round. Summer is coming, Lockdown is easing, what's not to like? Not so much for online poker, as we start the annual dry season which runs from now until the Autumn. It was & will always be so, nothing we can do about it.

And to compound those thin numbers, Liverpool had their pants taken down big time by Real Madrid in the CL. Was a fun game to watch actually, but it was Real who imposed themselves on Liverpool, not the other way round. Still, at least City won, & tonight it's Chelsea's turn.

Tomorrow sees the start of one of THE great televised sports events of the year, The Masters. That's me sorted until Sunday.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,057)

Very little I can say about the winner, he's not on Sharky, & there's almost no Forum history, though he did have a deep run or two during the Easter UKOPS.

hazelwoo05 (runner-up) had a spectacular session. 2nd in a £300 Rebuy, 2nd in 7 @ 7, a deep run (9th) in the Mini, and 1/201 in Reload. Great work Hazy, very well done.

5th was anjie1970, been here forever but plays a lot less these days.

Granite89 is a far more familiar face around here, & returned to the winner's enclosure after what looked to me like a thin UKOPS. He's been playing some chunky Heads Up stuff though at the £50 & £100 level, & I daresay he can look after himself in those.

Runner-up blondie505 has a season ticket to this MTT, plays it most nights. Plenty of Final Tables in it, including a win in January when having to fend off the mighty heddoh.

    £6,000 Gold Rush (£6,030)

A very unusual double for Hoff92, who won a (UKOPS) Mini last week & now wins a Main. However, in 2019 he achieved the near impossible of winning Main & Mini on the same night & so collecting the £5,000 FTJ. Over the years he's won Gold Rush several times, Predator, Hitman, Summit & plenty else besides. Quality act.

    £2,000 Mini Gold Rush (£2,305)

A sweet victory for or8treacle, who used to be a Daily Forum Comp regular. Good win for him this, as the runner-up, gac123, is no slouch.

In 3rd was the delightfully-aliased LeoBooBoo, who has no Sharky profile & last appeared in these threads 6 years ago.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

cabbaz picked up another ~£375 here. Had a great March, 2nd in a Sunday Major & taking down Sharpshooter Main, & he ended UKOPS in fine style with 6th in the Main on Sunday.

    £6,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,200)

    What a FT this was.

Twice a BWBH winner this year, M10Dembele added Summit to his list of big buy-in wins.

Runner-up roddy28 is more than handy too, with two Main Event wins this year, & a very solid UKOPS, finishing 5th in the UKOPS Leaderboard for a well-deserved £300 bonus.

TimmyRaRa (3rd) is just a lucky fish, and in 4th was cabbaz, who won last night's Mega.

Down in 15th was UKOPS High Roller winner IrishRose, who despite not troubling the Final Table managed to take 6 head prizes for some £225.

The in form @Shrimpy28 was 13th but never managed any head prizes.

    Hazelwoo05, 2nd in 7 @ 7 earlier in the session, took Reload, with sendit93 2nd & The Bates in 3rd.

In 6th was natnug, who had a decent UKOPS including the FT of UKOPS 16.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,680)

A personal best for the winner, rob65.

Runner-up big_dam has some decent scores on his CV, including wins in Turbo (twice), Sheriff & MidEx.

3rd was lolufold, who finished 13th on the UKOPS Leaderboard.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,700)

A surprise winner here with Thompson taking the honours.

In 5th was MAGPIETYKE, who won the opening UKOPS event exactly a week earlier. Newcastle FC fan perhaps?

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,060)

One for the fans here as Arrogant takes MidEx.

Shrimps ran 3rd for £135, not a session-saver but every little helps. He works in what is known these days as the hospitality sector, & he returns to work next week after being sidelined since last Autumn. Bet that feels good.

    @Arrogant 159000 1 £196.10 + £119.01 Head Prizes 6

Ahh, Barnsley. I've spent several unhappy evening at Oakwell. I was a hardcore Brentford fan back in the day & went to every away match. Good to see both clubs having a good season in the Champo, with hopes of a PL spot.

Would have been a very different season for us this season if it wasn’t for result at brentford last game of last season, hopefully meet each other in playoff final this season 👍.

@Tikay10 I can't wait for the Masters too. Seems like, probably, the most open field for a long while. Who do you fancy? And, as a talking point, what is your view on the 4.5 degree driver that Bryson intends to use?

    @TVSpice

I've not finalised my choices yet, but I plan to spend an hour or two on my "long short list" this evening. It's such a difficult choice. Will let you know. (If I remember).

Bryson's new driver? Ha, he's mad. But I've come to really enjoy watching him. You just never know what is going to happen.
