The Internet.

I can only consider myself backward when it comes to the internet.
They had only just invented calculators, when I was in school.
I was browned off the other day when I lost my internet connection.
This seems to happen on a regular basis, but thankfully not that often.
You regularly see players sitting out of tourneys, and assume that they have lost their connection.
The last time it happened to me, there were nine left in the main, so it might have been very costly.
Well I was talking to my Son-in-Law the other day.
He suggested I set up a personal hot spot using my phone.
So I did.
It seems to work.
So why is anyone left sitting out through losing their internet?
Doesnt everyone have a personal hot spot set up?
If not, why not?
I have had a number of rows with BT, and Sky Broadband before that.
Why did neither of them advise me to do this?

Nowadays BT will advise you about a hotspot. In fact they will send you a 4g or 5g mobile wifi thingamy and it will let you use that for free if your interwebs goes down.

That said, I just turned my phone on and used that so that mobile wifi thing just sat gathering dust the whole time.

    Its called a mini hub.
They gave me one the last time I had a problem.
However you have to phone them to activate it.
There is no-one there after 9pm.
I lost mine just after midnight, the last time.

    That is easy.
It seems to happen perhaps every few months, rather than every day, or every week.
