Morning.
It's rare that a sports story is the headline on the news sites but that was the case yesterday after the ESL (European Super League) was announced. I've no idea who the losers will be in all this, but for sure, the winners will be the Lawyers, with writs flying left right & centre. Right now, this very minute, copies of the Restraint of Trade legislation are flying off the shelves. And the odd thing is that so far, there is no word of who will be televising it - because that's where the money will come from. I guess Amazon, Netflix etc? And what about the blockbuster TV rights to the Premier League? These will be severely devalued, Sky & BT will pay much less, the clubs will get much less, & the obscene salaries elite footballers receive will be severely diluted. Expe4ct this story to run & run.
Back at the Sky Poker base last night, traffic was on the thin side. Not anorexic thin, but definitely on the svelte side. As the light nights grow longer & the weather gets better, expect more of the same. September & October seem a long long way away right now.

In three years on Sky Poker EVGENIA has been consistently profitable, & had an exceptional day yesterday with a brace of victories - a £150 BH in the morning for £70, then 7 @ 7 for about £240, so overall a +£300 day. Very nice too.

chrisdonkb was 4th in Friday's Avenger Main & filled the same spot in this last night.
Just days after winning MidEx millys was 6th here, plus he won a pair of £200 HU Speed SNG's on the side. They don't run every day. It must feel weird mixing £33 MTT's with £210 HU games.

seikus took the Major, easily his best ever score here on Sky Poker. As it happens, just two weeks ago he won his only other 4 figure cash via a UKOPS Mini, so he's on the crest of a jolly old wave right now.
In 3rd was Swimmr, his best result since a Quickdraw win a few weeks ago.
Coming oh-so-close to his second Sunday Major victory in three weeks as IamAll_En, with Crushy in 6th.
Final Table bubbler was Seasider67, presumably a Blackpool FC fan. I wonder whatever happened to Owen Oyston?

It's rather fitting that miniman won a Mini, it rolls off the tongue nicely. He won Hitman Main 10 days ago too so I guess he's getting by despite being a Gooner.
2nd was jawzindawz, exactly a week after he won a slice of Final Table Jackpot vis the Sunday Major & Mini Major.
And as it happens, Swimmr got a piece of Final Table Jackpot last night - 3rd in the Major & 6th in the Mini equates to a £150 bonus. Not life-changing, but handy enough.
Just falling short of the FT were bossquaid yobbie & ozzieowen.

Variance (the poker variety) has been a little unkind to Boxster of late, but it's turning for the better now, and he was 3rd here, less than 24 hours since he finished 3rd in MidEx.
tonyp142, 2nd in Friday's BWBH for juicy money, was 6th. Every little helps.
