Morning.
A much quieter day on the news front yesterday, just regular stuff, "Boris is a dodgy geezer" sort of stuff, which we have been reading for years, & we know anyway. Can't beat a good news story, and Tuesday was an exceptional example by any standards.
It was quiet on the Sky Poker MTT streets too, as has been the case all week. Lovely warm Spring weather, lockdown easing, "light nights", bla bla.

Congrats to 7 @ 7 winner 461mike, making his first Results Thread appearance in 6 years.
By contrast, heddoh18 was 2nd, & he's in it almost every day.
In 6th was DESERTTURK, who won Gold Rush Main just shy of a month ago.

This went to grinddd, who is a serial boss by any standards. He was AWOL on Tuesday, but on Monday he won Mega & was 2nd in Sheriff.
2nd - as she so often is in this one - was karlluke, with blondie, who won a £200 BH earlier in the day, 5th.
Uncle Ungo, 3rd in the Sharpy Main on Saturday, was 6th.

£6,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£6,030)
Just a week since he won the Mini, markutd stepped up in class & took Predator Main, & did so in fine style from what I saw. Nice double, that.
jordz was 3rd, with KLLy 6th.
In 5th was DUMNIDOSH, who is a very shrewd judge of horse racing.
The eyebrow-archer was Duesenberg in 4th. He's built himself an image of being super-nitty, but believe me, he's anything but. Alerted to his presence in the Final, I watched some of this, & he was at it with all sorts of assorted deleterious matter. Sometimes I wish I had a secret button where I can see player's hole cards, I am pretty certain he was bluffing for England. Next time you encounter him at the tables, play back at him. Later in the evening he made two further FT's, both very small but satisfying nonetheless. He positively loves MTT's.

£1,500 Mini Predator (£1,725)
Definitely the result of the night, as Sam aka IVIystical took the Mini. He began the evening by nicking £1 - yes, £1 - in a freeroll, & then went on to win the Mini. It was the third time he's done well in a Mini recently, he ran 4th in one just over a month back & was 6th in it a week ago. He also had that deep run in the SPT Online, at a time when he barely knew what he was doing. Since then he's worked hard on his game & received lots of help from his buddies, & he's gradually making up into a really decent player. Could not happen to a nicer guy, & a genuine feel-good story.

£1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)
roytheboy7 finalled this one on Friday, then got the valuable victory last night. Those who have been in poker 15 years or more will likely remember Roy Brindley, who went by the nick of "Roy The Boy". It's unlikely last night's winner is the same man, but it's good to be remionded of Roy. If you enjoy a good poker & gambling related book, Roy's tome "Life's A gamble" is highly recommended. But if you order the book, BE CAREFUL - rather oddly there are two books with identical titles, one by Roy, the other by the late Mike Sexton.

£1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,620)
clockerbob won the Turbo, a week since he made a Sheriff Final.
IamAll_En (2nd) must be due a change of luck, he keeps making big finals and must be due another big win soon. On Sunday he was 4th in the £100 Sunday Major, and occupied the same spot in Tuesday's Summit. he began the month with 3rd in a £100 UKOPS too. Whilst playing last night's Turbo, he also played a £100 HU Turbo & won that. He's one of a rare few who have won the Sunday Major twice too. Very nice.

POTD
These "fun" awards are all about context, so no hesitation in awarding POTD to last night's Mini winner...

We continue with the Jim Steinman tributes - Paradise By The Dashboard Light.
Here's a few bits of trivia about the track;
