Who won what, Sunday 25th April - tartu wins the Major

Morning.

More than a little surprised to see the lead item on the BBC News website this morning was a piece about the Oscars. I mean, seriously? The world is gripped by COVID, there's a crisis in India, & here in the UK it's more & more evident that the Government is sleaze-ridden from top to bottom, & yet the headline is about some film awards? Funny old game.

Back on topic, MTT traffic was OK last night. More meh than great, but the weather is great, Lockdown is easing, & "time of year". Oh, & the Oscars were on TV. That'll be it.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,169)

Always a pleasure to see Allan23 have a win, & he took last night's 7 @ 7. Not sure there is a more successful MTT player at around £5 ABI. OK, Sharky is not gospel, but £20,000 profit from 10,000 MTT's at an ABI of £5.30 is astonishing.

hhammerhea is becoming a bit of a shark. Twice winner of Reload recently, he was 3rd in this last night.

luckme002 was seeking a 4 timer of featured MTT wins in 4 nights, & just fell short, 5th here being his best effort. He did win a £300 Turbo BH late last night, but it was not on the featured list.

    £6,000 Bounty Hunter (£6,990)

PRHack93 continues to impress. In April alone, he's run 2nd in both a UKOPS & BWBH, & now he adds a win in the £6k BH. Perhaps his best claim to fame though is that he has won that BH Rebuy that runs at 19.10 each night 4 times this year.

2nd was HAYSIE, collecting just under £700. Allowing for Rebuys, he likely came out £100 or so ahead.

In 4th was HUGHMANS who has made two £100 buy-in Final Tables in the last 10 days - Summit & BWBH.

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£15,900)

tartu won the 3pm Sunday Major satellite, then chilled for a few hours before emerging nearly 12 hours later clutching a handsome £4,372. Not too much history of big results, though he did bink Sharpshooter this time last year.

Heads up it looked like starfox had it sewn up, but the wheels came off somewhat & he had to settle for 2nd.

Alvez was 5th, with destinycod 6th. It was a frustrating night for the Codfather, 6th here, 6th in Sheriff, & 5th in a £30k comp over on Grosvenor.

    £2,000 Mini Major (£2,230)

Three times in the last fortnight poker1 has had a top 20 finish in the Mini, including the Mini Major two weeks ago, & his perseverance was rewarded with the win last night.

    High-roller specialist craigcu12 lowered his sights & ran 7th, with MAXALLY, Eon1961 & allan23 12th, 13th & 14th respectively.

JACKDAW won his seat via last week's MML & managed a small cash. Not much, but not bad for a freebie.

The star turns though were £1 Rebuy specialists NOSTRI & Duesenberg, who decided to take a shot at higher buy-ins than usual & both walked away with over £15. It just shows that with a bit of luck anyone can do well.

Jscorgie really is the Mega Stack King, this was his 4th win in it this year, & it came just 24 hours after he won Saturday's Sheriff. Marvellous consistency.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,632)

jo90mark is a Reload season ticket holder & does OK. He was 5th in it a week or so ago and booked his win last night.

In 5th was 2690. Some 65 years ago "2690" was the very first Hornby Model Railway engine I possessed. What a sad life I have had if I can remember that.

I said we would move on from Jim Steinman tributes, but yesterday's thread managed to get TWO posts by Jim Steinman fans both mentioning the same track. ( @gixxerk4 & @dragon1964 ). That's more feedback than these threads usually get in a week.

So here's the Celine Dion version of It's All Coming Back To Me. Unmistakeable Steinman.

Cheers for the write up @Tikay10 interestingly that 2nd in the UKOPS was to @HAYSIE so was nice to even the score here!
bit of a love hate relationship with that 19:10 one - either goes terribly or terrifically well
