Morning.
It's the day after a Bank Holiday weekend & everything feels a little flat today.
Yesterday was officially called the "Early May Bank Holiday", but as May Day is May 1st, & yesterday was May 3rd, I'm not entirely sure how it's "Early. Life's mysteries, huh?
MTT traffic was pretty good - relatively speaking - & was better than the last two Mondays, though I think that was partly down to the regular monthly cycle.
Yesterday's version of the Results Thread got good "Viewed" numbers, which pleased me. However, I was disappointed none of my team of pun-spotters noticed this beaut;
"SNAKE57 did aspecially well in 2nd, whilst Dr_Velcro stuck to his task"Pfft.

£6,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£7,800)
Marksman Main winner KFitzy2 was doing very well in the Spring of 2020 & booked some nice wins, including a UKOPS. He's returned to MTT's here recently & this easily was his biggest win in over 1,200 MTT's.
Runner-up bigfatfish, by contrast, has over 100,000 games on his CV here, though 95% of them are DYM's.

£1,500 Mini Marksman (£2,015)
Mini winner 1-Day has been MTT-ing here for over 12 years. He'll never make enough to retire, but returns a steady profit every year. What a great thing it must be to have a hobby that makes a bit of profit.
Two cricket aliases finished 5th & 6th - sillymid & beamer.

£2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,050)
I did a double take when I saw that NOSTRI had won this, as it was only 24 hours after he took the Mini Major. Not sure I've ever seen him play a Sheriff or even a £55 event before, he seems better suited to £1 Rebuys, but he won his seat by finishing 3rd of 11 in a soft satellite. £800 for Sheriff & £630 for Mini Major probably represents his best 24 hour return in the entire 4 years he's been here. There were only 34 runners, & our notoriously head-shy hero took 9 Head Prizes. Just shows what can be achieved with a healthy dose of luck.
M10Dembele had to settle for 2nd, but got consolation later in the evening.
3rd was luckme002, who took down Sunday's £6,000 BH, with glencoelad grabbing the last money spot in 5th.
@NOSTRI 205000 1 £410 + £396.85 Head Prizes 9

£1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,851)
After trying for a very long time indeed, bronte_5 at last rose to the wuthering heights of a Reload victory.

£1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,980)
Bleurgh must have one of the best records of anyone in Turbo - this was his third Turbo win in less than a month.
In 5th was PAPABURG who is showing much improved form lately. In the last week he has won Mega, & run 4th in Summit & 5th in a £6,000 BH.
@Bleurgh 330000 1 £366.30 + £212.30 Head Prizes 7

Any shame that @M10Dembele suffered after failing to beat @NOSTRI Heads Up in the Sheriff was soon put to bed when he took down Quicky.

£1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,000)
seikus has been quiet of late by his standards, but a second MidEx win in under two weeks might just re-ignite his spark.
spitfire10 does well in MidEx, he won it a few weeks ago & was 2nd last night, or., more correctly, this morning.
Arrogant was 3rd, The Bates 5th & lolufold 6th.

Hon Mention
For such a small-ball player to win Mini Major & Sheriff in successive nights is quite remarkable.
@NOSTRI
POTD
A splendid Main Event win means it goes to....
@KFitzy2
Ian Dury died way too young. What a waste.
A quite remarkable man, by any standards.

Seems fair. Today's pun of the day was a classic.
What a waste, indeed.
