Morning.
MTT numbers last night were broadly similar w-o-w, nothing particularly good or bad, though the £1,500 Quickdraw making over £2,500 was pleasantly surprising.
In last night's football viewers were treated to a delightfully open game between Newcastle & Man City, with Team Pep winning by the odd goal in 7. If only football were always like that.
Sporting action this weekend is a little flat, though there are a few highlights - Moto GP, the FA Cup Final, and some decent horse racing.
Over in the USA, tonight it's the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes. The favourite is Medina Spirit, trained by Bob Baffert. This horse "won" last week's Kentucky Derby before being disqualified for drug-related reasons. The trainer has form for this sort of thing - he has 11 previous instances of his horses being DQ'd due to traces of banned substances in their blood. Baffert, of course, vehemently denies any wrongdoing, as he always does, & is giving it the full-on wounded soldier bit. Somehow, the horse is being allowed to run again tonight. If that offends you, back something else - though ideally not Concert Tour, the 2nd favourite - that's also trained by Bob Baffert. Horse racing in the USA is a messy business.

What a fabulous alias the winner has, I can almost hear that recorded automated voice "CashierNo1" which used to be such a feature of busy shops.
2nd was Crushy, with Bleurgh 6th.

On the 9th May 2020 - a year & a week ago, exactly - I wrote this about the preceding's night's BWBH;
"DrewMcRobb did this the hard way, winning 2 satellites to get his seat. Quite the Sky Poker veteran, he has over 30,000 games on his Sky Poker CV."
Well would you believe it - last night he repeated the trick, again by the satellite route. Last year he collected £2,630, last night it was £2,642. Good to see that BWBH numbers have held up too, despite the fact last year's renewal was during the Boomlet.
Not an easy FT, as you'd expect, with the usual suspects such as Arrogant, Tedson & heddoh all present & correct.

No great surprise here, as gac123 won Avenger Main for the 2nd time in 5 months. Again, his winner's purse was almost identical to last time. If Sky Poker is dying, it's doing so very slowly. Since his previous Avenger Main win he's also won a Gold Rush Main & a £6,000 BH, & plenty else besides. We can safely conclude he's handy.
Palace Bloke was 3rd, with the consistent & impressive roddy28 4th.

I don't have any history at all on the winner, & Sharky is no help either, rating him at a modest 51. Seems to me this was a big big win for Mr Eunz, very well done buddy.
chriscardy ran 2nd, rancid came up smelling sweet in 3rd, and the elegantly-aliased chitface 4th.
In 5th was MARK277, who won the opening event of last Autumn's UKOPS for decent money.

£2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,300)
Arrogant's army of fans would have been happy last night as he had two decent results - 3rd in BWBH & 1st in Sheriff.
A peruse of the finalists - Arrogant, Chrismags, Sharki0, wineli, M10Dembele & ozzieowen tells us this was a typically tough Sheriff renewal.

For history repeating itself in BWBH...
@DrewMcRobb
Yesterday's Paul Carrack video was favourably received, so here's some ancient Squeeze with Cool For Cats. In those days lyrics were so innocent - or so I thought at the time.
Shape up at the disco and I think I've got a pull
I ask her lots of questions and she hangs on to the wall
I kiss her for the first time and then I take her home
I'm invited in for coffee and I give the dog a bone
When I asked this in the discord the other day, the overwhelming response was "I've never heard of that song" which made me a bit sad, as it's such a tune.
You cannot be serious? Never heard of it? They must have had very sheltered lives.
