Who won what, Saturday 16th May - Curt hits a purple patch

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 162,919

Morning.

MTT traffic was not great last night, but even so, there was no overlay. Just time of the month I think.

In horse racing, blushes were spared when both of Bob Baffert's horses were well beaten in the Preakness at Pimlico in Baltimore last night. All things considered, that was probably for the best.

In football, Leicester City won the FA Cup Final. This was a great result for the neutrals, the Leicester City owners are the exact opposite of some of the less likeable Premier League owners & the club seems to be run the way a football club should. A very popular win.

Moving to today, in Moto GP it's the French GP at Le Mans today, and I'd like to see Jack Miller (pictured below) do well.

£700 7 @ 7 £882

£1,000 BH £1,080

£8,000 Sharpshooter £8,400

£2,500 Mini £2,900

£1,500 Reload £1,640

£2,000 Sheriff £2,150

£1,500 Reload £2,160

£1,500 Turbo £1,710

£1,500 Quicky £1,820

£1,500 MidEx £1,760

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£882)

    The winner is a new name on me, all I know is he had been MIA for a week before turning up yesterday, playing a few MTT's & taking down the 7 @ 7.

    Incidentally, the 7 @ 7 made £882 - I'm not sure I've ever seen it make less than £900 before, & it's certainly the lowest it has made in 2021.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,080)

    April & May have been good for Uncle Ungo, & last night he won the £1k BH for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. He won a Mega last week, and has a stellar record in the £1,000 guaranteed fiver rebuy that runs at 19.10.

    2nd was BRUMMIEUK, who may well be new to the site - just 6 MTT's to his name if Sharky is accurate.

    In 3rd was NOSTRI, another who is enjoying a good month, he's made the best part of £2,000 in the last month, which is quite solid for the average stakes he plays. He's a funny guy, in a Goodfellas sort of way.

    We saw assorted fish in 4th & 6th - bigfish19 & IMAFISH respectively.

    @loosecamel 162000 1 £199.80 + £110.60 Head Prizes 5

    @BRUMMIEUK 0 2 £118.80 + £97.03 Head Prizes 8

    @NOSTRI 0 3 £81 + £43.13 Head Prizes 5

    £8,000 Sharpshooter (£8,400)

    Curt360x27 has suddenly hit a purple patch. On Friday he ran 2nd in the Turbo, then last night he won Sharpy Main, was 6th in Reload, 2nd in Turbo (for the second straight night) then won a little £300 Turbo BH.

    EBBERDON, one of our more senior players (in age terms) was 2nd with Jessiaak 3rd. EBBERDON is the gent on the right in the photo below which was taken at a Manchester SPT - anyone care to name the other player in the photo?

    @Curt360x27 2800000 1 £1128.12 + £328.41 Head Prizes 6

    @EBBERDON 0 2 £673.26 + £176.48 Head Prizes 6

    £2,500 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,900)

    A rare milestone here, as Burtace123 won the Mini for the fourth time. The best of those 4 wins was during the Boomlet in 2020, when he picked up some £1,400 in winning an Avenger Mini. He pretty much just plays 1 or 2 MTT's each night - either the Mini or Reload, sometimes both.

    @Burtace123 5800000 1 £348 + £83.11 Head Prizes 12

    @andyb1978 0 2 £189.95 + £67.53 Head Prizes 16

    @Hoff92 0 3 £112.38 + £16.14 Head Prizes 5

    @RickiG2020 0 4 £89.17 + £23.15 Head Prizes 5

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,640)

    Sheer aggression works well for skyflyer, this was a 4th featured MTT win this month - 7 @ 7 twice, a £1k BH & now Mega.

    ozzieowen was 2nd, AlanBond 3rd, with another Final in 4th for Uncle Ungo.

    6th was cymru35. If that name rings a bell, it's because he is the chap who thinks Sky Poker is the "worst pokes site since joker stars", and genuinely believes MattBates works for Sky, as can be seen by his Forum Thread...

    HERE

    I find comments like that perplexing. There are hundreds of Online Poker sites, why would you continue to play on one which you suspected was dishonest? Serious question. If I thought a poker site - or a supermarket, petrol station or whatever - was diddling me, I'd snap go elsewhere. I think he secretly loves Sky Poker.

    @skyflyer 820000 1 £233.70 + £229.69 Head Prizes 12

    @ozzieowen 0 2 £150.06 + £66.58 Head Prizes 7

    £2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,150)

    Sheriff went to the beast that is destinycod, some consolation for bubbling last night's SPT Semi-Final, though I suspect he's won a gazillion seats (approx) already.

    SwannLol was 4th, with Gambelo a spot behind.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£2,160)

    Reload specialist Cappin capped a remarkable 5 days in which he has finished 2nd, 4th & 1st in Reload. Given that it averages over 200 entries & has Rebuys, that's a stunning achievement.

    5th was K0BAYASHl with Curt360 6th.

    There was a time when the music press reckoned this guy was the absolute nuts. Personally I thought he was utterly dire, with about as much talent & personality as Morrisey, which is precisely nil. Music is all about opinions, don't you think?

    Ugh.

    Talking of which... have you heard of this band, Dry Cleaning, who are "in vogue" at the moment... as opposed to Billie Eilish who is "in Vogue" at the moment!

    They have a great guitar sound but the singer can't sing

    I know people who rave about them (and her)

    S Club 7 and The Smiths possibly the worst combination since Brentford and the play offs.

    @Tikay10 Well you got your wish great result for Miller.
    What a race more drama than 10 seasons of F1 Must admit was rooting for Zarco to get his first win and at home too.

    @gixxerk4

    So true.

    What an amazing race, did not dare look away for a second.

    Fabulous TV, way way better than F1.
