Morning.
The post-lockdown numbers continued in a similar vein to Monday & Tuesday. It's affecting all UK facing sites similarly, & it's the flip side of the Boomlet we all - site & players - enjoyed last year. It's not like it's a surprise - anyone who never saw this coming was not paying attention, or thinking it through. Fortunately, it's only online poker, & nobody will die.
In last night's football, Liverpool duly completed the Burnley leg of their big week - it's all down to Sunday's results now, but they are very much in the box seat. Roy Hodgson had his last home game, but Arsenal peed on his parade, & Big Sam announced his WBA farewell too. Add in the boost from fans returning to the grounds & the football season suddenly got really interesting, just as it's about to end.
And today sees one of the undoubted sporting highlights of the year - a Golf Major. These are right up there with Cheltenham, Royal Ascot, the Olympics, an Ashes Series, the World Snooker & so on. The golf comes from Kiawah Island, on the eastern seaboard of the USA. As you can see from the photo, it's "quite near" the coast, & in many ways, similar to a Scottish Links course. It ought to make fabulous TV for the next 4 days.

There was no bubble for squeak, who went on to take 7 @ 7. They have some useful form on their card, winning Hitman Main at the end of April, and must be amongst a very select group of players who has done the Gold Rush double - wining both versions, Mini & Main.

The heddoh roadshow just keeps rolling. In May alone - & only up to the 19th - he has now won £1k BH, Turbo, Sheriff, Quickdraw (no less than three times) & by way of a side-income, at least four SPT seats. MBN to be that good at poker, though I fancy he must have worked hard on his game.

As many of you know, we run all sort of Community Comps on the Forum. On Sunday morning, in the "Daily Forum Comp", tmc460 sat in 18th place, & it looked like eon1961 & JACKDAW, who were 1st & 2nd by some way, had it between them. tmc460 went for a Sheffield United away win - a very unlikely outcome - & 1 goal, & ended up winning the comp by just £0.58. I got his entry sorted, & wrote him a PM wishing him well. And he went & won the Main, for some £1,130. I believe that's the most anyone has won from a Community Comp on the Forum, & I suspect it's the biggest prize tmc460 has ever won on Sky Poker too. All very pleasing, imo.For much of the tourney, BooBooTheB looked like he was in cruise control, sitting 3rd most of the time, then 1st, before he had a bit of an accident. He fought back though & ended up 2nd. It's only a few days since he returned from an 8 month Sky Poker sabbatical, & he celebrated it on Tuesday by winning Gold Rush Main. Now he follows up with 2nd in Predator Main. That's form.
In 3rd was splashies, who was runner-up in Tuesday's Megastack.

kalooki8 only ever plays one MTT on Sky Poker - the Mini - & this was the 6th (SIXTH) time he has won it. I suppose there may be some sicky who can boast more than 6 Mini wins - @MattBates perhaps? - but it's still pretty impressive. Incidentally, "kalooki" is a popular card game, a sort of souped up Rummy, which poker players traditionally play before Tourneys start at Live Events. I'd like a quid for every game of kalooki I've played in UK cardrooms. In 2nd was HAYSIE, who not so much outplayed the rest of the field, as argued them into submission.
In 3rd was aynaricol, our resident mixologist. I'm very fond of her in an avuncular way, as her game has improved out of recognition, & this was her 2nd Mini FT in less than three weeks. She's also Queen of the £1 & £2 Rebuys. Proper gambler, through & through.
4th was 123mason. The term "mason" has any number of meanings, but it does include perhaps the best job tite in the world - a Monumental Mason. I'd so love to be a Monumental Mason, or indeed anything Monumental. I wonder if one can be a Quite Good Mason?
In 5th was Brrrrrr, who does a lot of Community stuff here including the Annual Naps Comp. Nice one Pete.

seikus, who won the Sunday Major 10 days ago, was fishing in shallower waters last night but still did OK, winning Sheriff & then a £500 BH that ran 30 minutes later.
The stunning run of results by AlexaAJ continues, 2nd here.

£1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,653)
It's quite rare to see a player who is equally competent at both DYM's & MTT's, but increasingly, that's the case with Grumpy Jac, & last night was a perfect example - he won Reload, then reeled off 7 straight DYM wins at all stakes from £3 up to £15. The last I recall on his much-missed Forum Diary was that he was busto, though that was a regular affair for him. Presumably he's well-funded again now. And will be busto again next week. (Nap).
Runner-up Theghost put up a spirited fight, but was no match for Grumps.
