Afternoon.
After that rather alarming jolt on Monday of last week, online poker traffic seems to have stabilised now. It was always going to happen as Lockdown started easing, & we all - players & sites - shared the (online poker) good times last year, so I don't think any of us can complain.
Not much sport of note yesterday, but we do have the Europa League Final tonight, between an English Club & a Spanish Club, held in Poland. It's actually a very posh & modern stadium, though Wiki states...
In July 2012, the stadium became Poland's only (and probably one of very few worldwide) to have bananas on the list of items prohibited inside.
Presumably, due to a history of racist issues. Racism is everywhere, sadly.
Mr Cummings is giving evidence today & is expected to throw a few barbs in the direction of Boris Johnson. One is reminded of that old saying...

7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,057)
squeak13 flies a bit under the radar but has a very good record. He won Hitman Main last month, & has the unusual distinction of having won both Gold Rush Main & Gold Rush Mini in recent times. He's had several 7 @ 7 cashes too, & won it last night.
3rd was MAGPIETYKE, who was 4th in Monday's Sheriff for £160 after getting in via a £3 satellite.
2Geronimo was 5th. He won a seat to SPT Online via the Golden Ticket Giveaway, so let's hope he runs well on Saturday & Sunday.

Twice a winner of the Sunday Major in the last 6 weeks, seikus cast his net in shallower waters last night & took down the £1k BH.
There was an odd alias in 3rd - UnEuropean. I suppose we could read all sorts into that. Anyway, it appears he has just 9 games on Sky Poker, all of them last night. Welcome aboard Mr Un.
The Bates was 4th, and Crushy 5th.

DrPayne has been missing from Sky Poker MTT's for the last 3 months, in fact has only a handful of games since last September, but he showed up last night & took down the Main. I rather like his screen-name, it reminds me of a 1980's News of the World Headline featuring Cynthia Payne & the hip hop band House Of Pain. (Jump around, jump around).2nd was SAXONTOM, who was 3rd in MidEx a day or two ago, with the hedster 3rd.

£6,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,600)
No disrespect intended, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see Dazzy had won the £110 entry Summit, as he rarely plays big buy-in stuff, in fact his ABI is about £7. Did he win a satellite to it? Did he ever. I genuinely struggled to work it out, but it looks to me that he won at least 6 satellites last night, not just to Summit but to Gold Rush Main too. I don't check these things regularly, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one player win so many satellites in a single night. Bravo Dazzy, delighted for you.

Egg1981 took Reload, but I'm struggling to find his previous history, as we have so many "Egg" screen-names - Egg1981/1982/1987/1988. Way too many Eggs in Sky Poker's basket.

£1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,620)
The result here was a bit of an outlier, Danaces has no previous form that I can see, & has barely played this month, & most of his games have been small-ball stuff. All credit for him then for taking down the £33 entry Turbo.
Standard session for heddoh18 - 3rd in Main, 5th in Summit, 4th here, & won himself (another) SPT seat.
PKRPar had something of a thin night, but 3rd here may have got him out of it.

Best British Sportsperson
So far;Darts - Phil Taylor
Jockey - Lester Piggott, though @The--Don did offer some alternatives.
Today, golfers.
I think the shortlist should be;
Woosnam
Lyle
Monty
Rose
McIllroy
Faldo
Lawrie
Laura Davies
Laura Davies comes close for my money, she dominated the female game for so long & even now still plays to a decent standard. I could not have Rose or Lyle, and Monty seems such a horrible person. Rory must be close, but I feel he has under-achieved, so I am going for....
Nick Faldo
He went off the rails when he sold out to Nike and his game suffered immensely and perhaps now, he's been overtaken for the time being but he's clearly very talented and will definitely win plenty more majors.
This. Sheer greed, too. Bit sad really.
A little story that may throw a better light on Monty. A very good friend of mine used to work as cabin crew on first class for BA. He once had Monty and his dad in first class on a 747 flight to the States, on that flight he also had another first class passenger who was being a first class ****. Anyway Monty heard all the abuse this other passenger was dishing out to the cabin crew and called Chris (my mate) over and explained that however they wanted to deal with that passenger, including telling him to 'Foxtrot Oscar', he would back them 100%, they shouldn't have to deal with that sort of stuff.
Chris thanked him and made sure that him and his dad got to visit the flight deck and chat with the pilots (it was well before 911) before the flight finished. Chris said he was a down to earth and genuinely nice bloke.
@Enut
Yes, it's possible the Press had it in for him, but he did just seem overly grumpy all the time.
I cannot imagine the effort, dedication and research required to post these daily 'Who Won' what threads. amongst all the others, but you always do it very well. Bravos right back atcha, Sir!
I'm pleased to tick off two more achievements;
Featuring in one of Tikay's thread titles
&
Receiving your infamous POTD badge
The ironic thing is, I have never really liked playing satellites, I would always opt to just buy direct if wishing to play an event, knowing that way you'd never ever pay more than the entry fee. However, the last week or so, I've put effort into the cheaper satellites to try gain entry into the SPT (since that horrible giveaway promotion sucks) and then realised there's some value in the satellites on Sky. And enjoyed the change of scenary, so to speak. I've just ran pretty well, and to say I'm pleased and delighted would be an understatement.
To remain on topic slightly, since I cannot offer any debate in your discussion, here's quite a funny story about Faldo.
I am not a golfing person, but when I was younger, probably no older than 11 or so, my Uncle, who was a big golf fan visited us. He would come most years for an excuse to go to one of the golfing events in Scotland. That year, I tagged along with him. It was in Carnoustie if I remember correctly. It was a dreich day and I was wearing a type of rain coat, with that kind of shell suit material. Anyway, at one of the holes, Faldo was lining up his tee shot. And me, being a wee guy was surround by people (I guess he was one of the most popular golfers with a big following) so I was at the front so I could see, but to prevent being quite squashed by the crowd, I was squatting. This is the fun part. Those marshal folk were holding their 'Quiet please' signs, and Faldo was practising his swing. He was taking longer and longer. Meanwhile, my legs were getting sorer and sorer. Just as he was about to take his real shot, I stood up to relieve the pain in my legs. But because it was so compact with the crowd, my rain jacket rubbed against the two people pressed at either side of me, it made a huge ripping/Velcro sound which seemed to echo 10x louder than it was due to the silence.
After Faldo stopping mid-swing he turned round and gave the evilest of stares in the direction of the sound. Don't think he knew where it came from and I think I got away with it. Phew!
