Morning.
Thin numbers last night, perhaps not helped by the lovely weather & England's football team playing live on TV. It was thrill a minute stuff, as England thrashed a superb Austria team 1-0. Don't under-estimate what a great result this was, Austria are 23rd in the World rankings.

minter123 was another who had a good session. 2 days earlier he was 3rd in this, last night he won it & then went on to run 8th in Quicky.
2nd was IamAll_En, who won this a few weeks ago.
5th was Squirrel15, who always has the nuts.

Fitz833 won a Quicky earlier this year but I'm pretty sure this was a PB. lolufold, blondie & MRBLEWPIE were amongst those finalling.
All of which was impressive, but not as impressive as 3rd for @IVIystical who had an astonishing May. Even though he does not play the Main every night, in the last month he's finished 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 9th, 10th & 14th. For a guy who was only playing smallball a few months ago he's made extraordinary progress and Sharky shows him having a 4 figure profit. He's one of three relatively inexperienced players I've been keeping an eye on recently, all of whom are making terrific progress in their learning process as they work their way up from the Micro stakes. So a big "well done" to @aynaricol @IVIystical & @NOSTRI

dewdicater took the Mini. If you ever get the chance to rail him, don't miss it, he's hilariously entertaining. He feigns being a conspiracy theorist but really it's all tongue-in-cheek & wonderfully done. Best laugh I've had in ages.
@IVIystical was 17th, so in addition to his Main Event heroics last night, he was within touching distance of the FTJ. Now that would have been party time.
2Geronimo (5th) has made a few finals recently, & seems to be on the upgrade.

andy705 took this for what I believe was his maiden Featured MTT win, well done him.
Yet more evidence of the rise & rise of @NOSTRI as he runs 6th in a Mega stack, a tournament that's really aimed at savvy players & grown ups.

£1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,563)
This fell to djsppiros, who finished just inside the money spots in SPT Online a few days ago.
Jac35 (3rd) made Reload FT for the third time in a few weeks. He's well known as a very decent DYM player, but a closer examination of his Sharky stats tells us an odd story. He's made almost identical profit (almost £20,000 in both cases) in both MTT's & DYM's, despite playing six times as many DYM's. Food for thought, that.

cobobut - what an odd alias that is - seems to be making progress, 6th in Mega & now 1st in Turbo from his last half dozen MTT's, though it's taken him a month to play them. A bit more volume & he might just do very well.

Easy decision today.
@IVIystical
Say it like you mean it Ollie
A serious "And Finally" today.Ollie Robinson should have had his best ever day as a cricketer yesterday, making his debut for England & taking two wickets. Sadly for him, some racist & sexist Tweets he made when he was 18 & 19 year old surfaced, & they were pretty sickening.
So he had to go before the cameras & give the obligatory apology. It was pre-prepared, written by the PR bods, read out parrot-fashion, & he never showed an ounce of sincerity.
Not good enough, imo. Ban him NOW, today, drop him from the team & make England play the remaining 4 days with just 10 men & three quickies. Harsh? Yes. But its the only was the Authorities will learn to do their due diligence, & for sports people to get the message. The Media, especially the TV, are being a bit mealy-mouthed about this. If they are sincere, lambast the fella. The message would soon get through then.
Go on, watch it. Did you ever see a less meaningful apology? He's more worried about his career than his vile Tweets.

I abhor racism
But should he be finished as a cricketer and a human for mistakes he made when he was very young?
I really hope he has changed.
Many people in sport who we hold in high esteem have made serious errors of judgement
Examples
In golf
Mickleson for essentially cheating
Woods
Football
Gascoigne beat his wife up
John Terry
Zidane
Cricket
Atherton
Smith
Most of those have been forgiven for their actions
Good post @Jac35
Atherton? Remind me what he did wrong please.
Oh, & Mickelson did not "essentially cheat". He cheated.
@Jac35
Ahh yes, I'd forgotten that.
When I was doing the TV, Atherton worked in the same office as me & I got to chat with him on a regular basis. I suspect this causes "selective memory", as it's normal when we meet famous people to be "hero-worship" them more than we might otherwise.
And yes, although he was exonerated, it did look very suss. My memory is not what it was & I cba to go googling, but I seem to recall he had dirt in his pocket which he used to rough up one side of the ball. I've always thought highly of him, & still do. Proof of selective memory then.
