British towns that are no-go areas for white people: Muslim author's study of mosques reveals children 'attacked for being white', parents making families live under Taliban-like rules and women who can't leave home without permissionBritish writer and political advisor Ed Husain, from London, has penned Among The Mosques: A Journey Across Muslim Britain in which he explores some of the UK's largest mosques and the Muslim communities worshiping there. Many of the mosques across Britain are dominated by the ultra-orthodox version of the faith promoted by a sect known as the Deobandis, which is the group that gave birth to the Taliban in Afghanistan.Areas like Bolton, Dewsbury and Black are described 'a different universe'. The book, released next week, details how in some areas, white people are frightened of physical violence if they venture into the wrong area, while extremist literature in other areas encourages parents not to allow their children to draw pictures, and to keep women in the house.
