Who won what, Friday 4th June - ItsOver4U wins Avenger

Morning.

By recent standards, MTT numbers were quite buoyant last night, so that's a bright start to the weekend.

In sport, Day Three of the Test was abandoned, and in the US Women's Open Golf, Derby's Mel Reid fell away & is now 4 shots off the lead.

The absolute shocker was Snowfall wining the Oaks by a mind-boggling 16 lengths. There were 14 runners and Snowfall was 10th rounding Tattenham Corner, but once Frankie pressed the button she took off like a rocket. I'm not sure I ever recall seeing a Classic won that easily. I well remember Troy coming away from his field in the '83 Derby to win by 7 lengths, but 16 lengths in a 14 runner Classic is spectacular. Snowfall was immediately made favourite for the Arc (she'd need to be supplemented, as she's not entered) but if I were the owner I'd not bother, she has nothing left to prove & she might as well be packed off to the paddocks to begin her breeding career. A most memorable performance, & if you missed it, see the video below.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,043

£8,000 BWBH £8,200

    Apology/Corrections

    Couple of errors yesterday.

    First up, I described @Fitz833, winner of back to back Main Events, as "he". I was 100% wrong there. Sorry Ms Fitz.

    I also wondered aloud if anyone else had ever won back-to-back Main Events. Well I received a missive from a friend to remind me that back in 2017, @kapowblamz did it. Did it in style too - his wins were both UKOPS events.

    Happy to be corrected.

    Last night's 7 @ 7 winner MUPS6869 is not an alias we see too often, but he has a bit of form - three weeks ago he won Mega, & a year earlier he took the £1,000 BH.

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£8,200)

    From such a small sample size - 86 MTT's - the results by Tinderella are sensational. Last night's BWBH was worth £1,860 to them, & back in February they won a big Sunday Major which was worth almost £6,000 to the winner.

    SwannLol was a fine 2nd, & went on to win Sheriff an hour or so later.

    @SwannLoL 0 2 £820 + £195.69 Head Prizes 4

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,760)

    I'm so pleased to see Danny @ItsOver4U win this. Proper poker player, takes his beats like a grown-up, just moves on. He showed up at a Road to Manchester event some years ago, can't remember where - Manchester maybe? - & busted in Level 1. No moans or groans, just shrugged his shoulders, wished everyone well & moved on. I would enjoy the world of poker so much more if there were more like that. Players who constantly moan about bad beats do my head in.

    Good to see someone break the stranglehold that @waller02 has on Avenger.

    @Itsover4u 1268000 1 £1445.07 + £562 Head Prizes 14

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£5,175)

    Exactly 51 weeks ago Stick66 won a Hitman Mini, & last night he took down the Avenger version. Unusual playing profile - almost always one MTT per week, either Mini or Reload.

    £2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    A tremendous session for SwannLol, 2nd in BWBH & 1st in Sheriff. Look at who he had to beat, too - ozzie, Sharki0, Palace Bloke, the Codpiece & Mr Channing. Sympathies to Ambo, who made the FT but went home empty-handed.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,010)

    Worm1968 took the Turbo. Trivia - the world's biggest known worm was 68 metres long. And worms are both limbless & eyeless. So being in the dark does not matter for them.

    Tough Turbo renewal, as always. 2nd was the excellent Codpiece, with @NOSTRI, who rarely plays on a Friday due to domestic complications, 3rd. He was presumably a little unlucky in Avenger Main earlier, as despite taking 7 head prizes, he finished out with the washing in 62nd place. He's in the form of his life right now - in the last 3 nights he's run 3rd in Turbo, 2nd in Sheriff & 2nd in Main. Probably a statistical anomaly, but even so, that's top binkage.

    Incidentally, congratulations are in order - @NOSTRI graduated yesterday. Proper Graduated, like, you know, from School, Poly, or Uni or whatever they are called these days. Well done him. I believe he is what is known as a mature student. It's not every day he's described as "mature".

    @Worm1968 335000 1 £371.85 + £245.44 Head Prizes 9

    @destinycod 0 2 £221.10 + £33.92 Head Prizes 2

    @NOSTRI 0 3 £150.75 + £28.13 Head Prizes 2

    @ScottMo1 0 4 £110.55 + £34.46 Head Prizes 2

    @cpfc_2010 0 5 £80.40 + £94.22 Head Prizes 6

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£2,260)

    Another tough FT, with the much-respected PBKR taking the win, & doing so whilst streaming. I've never watched a stream in my life, perhaps I ought to give it a go before I get too old. I'm told PBKR streams are top notch, perhaps that's the place to start.

    @PBKR 282000 1 £418.10 + £315.52 Head Prizes 8

    @luckme002 0 2 £248.60 + £46.88 Head Prizes 2

    @newdaddy 0 3 £169.50 + £142.26 Head Prizes 5

    There was an oddity in yesterday's Memorial Golf Tournament in Ohio. Every 13 or 17 years, a flying insect called
    Magicicada (Cicadas to you & me) emerge from their hiding places in huge numbers & make the most enormous noise. Yesterday was that day.

    Thanks @Tikay10 always my first forum read of the day weather I am involved or not.

    Haha yes I remember the SPT Well it was @SkyJames who busted me if I remember correctly.

    KK vs AA after he 5 bet all in pre it was the first time I ever contemplated folding Kings all in pre... I spent a good 10 minutes thinking about it as there was really no other hand he could have that deep.

    However the lure of a spot prize and the fact I could pay another 220 and get back in led to a call :)

    Great to see @Itsover4u take it down last night.

    It must be a good while ago now, but Danny gave me a fair bit of his time (and for free) when I was first looking to try improve at the game. It was both himself and @StayOrGo that really got me back into Poker during a time when I felt like sacking it off.

    Will always be grateful for that.

    Yup, both Danny & Graham are genuine "giving" people, & both have helped many a player free gratis

    Love reading stories like that, makes doing the thread every day feel worthwhile.

    @Tikay10 You really should watch a stream from any of these guys. @PKRPar , @waller02 , @IVIystical , @Duesenberg , @PBKR .

    Its like a box of chocolates, theres something for everyone,
    Think..Run like Forrest..
    theres nuts, soft centres,
    some almonds (are almonds bitter?) ,
    theres some crunchies, (mostly cans tho)... Oh &
    theres lots of bounties.. & pretzels...
    I mean prizes..
