Hi all, firstly I apologise for a lack of updates. I know the widely reported software issues over the last few months have caused a lot of frustration amongst you and I absolutely agree that it is very poor for SB&G to have not fixed them by now. I’ve tried to best explain our current situation in the below Q&A.
Q. What is happening with the planned migration to Stars software?
A. As of now this is on hold. A lot of work on both sides had been done to make this a reality but sadly the project was de-prioritised earlier this year. Since the migration project got underway we have been taken over by Flutter and with the Covid-19 situation the company’s priorities have shifted. It isn’t completely off the table but we are not expecting any software developments in the next 12 months.
Q. Why haven’t the software issues been fixed yet?
A. We are currently very short on tech resource on Poker and so not enough hours have been spent working on the issues. The business is well aware of this and have been trying to hire new staff for some time but I believe it has been a struggle to find the right applicants.
Both of the current main issues, the random table freezes and the lobby not updating have been investigated by the right people but frustratingly these are proving very difficult to resolve. These have not been forgotten about but I’m sorry to say I cannot give an answer as to when they may be resolved. I thank all our players who continue to remain loyal to Sky despite not always having the best experience.
Q. What are the long term plans for Sky Poker?
A. For now we will continue providing you with our current offering and we hope to keep the platform going for many years to come. Everyone associated with Sky Poker wants to see major software improvements ASAP and knows we need to if we are to remain competitive in the market. We will continue to bang the drum but ultimately these decisions are made by our leadership team.
Q. Will the Sky Poker Tour be returning?
A. Absolutely but only when things are back to normal and we can play poker in casinos without restrictions. Fingers crossed we can make our return later this year. We also hope to take the Tour back to Las Vegas in 2022. It’s been a shame we have had to miss out both this year and last as I know this is a real highlight of the year for all who qualify.

At least it was an update of no update though and probably something that would be helpful going forward every quarter at least?
Nice to know the site isn't just being left to gradually die as I presumed was the case.
Thanks for the update.
BIG +1

Best news of the night
Many thanks for the update @Sky__James
I genuinely don't know what changes have been made, however it may assist your understanding if I explain it was sent to all (appropriate) Customers of all SB&G Products - i.e., Bet, Vegas, Casino, Bingo, Poker etc. If your most frequent use is via Sky Poker then it comes from them, but the identical e-Mail has gone to the Customers of the other products too, based on what Product each Customer most uses.
Really, I can only recommend you read it.

Hi.
I'll pass that up to James.
PS - HNY.
Hi,
Unless you can provide us with a little more detail, (what freerolls, how many points did you earn & when etc) you'll need to contact Customer Care to get this resolved. They will request the same or similar information I imagine.
