Who won what, Tuesday 29th June - PKRPar wins another biggie

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,844

Morning.

Time constraints mean today's thread will be quite brief.

Yesterday was dominated by the football, obviously, & poker traffic suffered somewhat. Not as much as it will suffer this Saturday, mind, when England next play, & it will be an 8pm kick off to make things worse for poker. Think we can reasonably expect to see guarantees slashed on Saturday.

I suppose many will think I'm a bit of a grumpy so & so, but to see the celebrations in the Fan Zones last night you'd think we had won the Euros outright. All it did was get England into the quarter-finals.

£700 7 @ 7 £812

£1,000 BH £1,080

£5,000 Gold Rush £5,000

£1,500 Mini £1,815

£1,000 Mega £1,400

£5,000 Summit £5,300

£1,500 Reload £1,500

£1,500 Turbo £1,500

£1,000 Quicky £1,220

£1,000 MidEx £1,000

This is how fans celebrated last night. What will they do it we win it?

A warm welcome to the results thread for 26CMR57, who gets a first ever namecheck today. Decent day for them, finalling a little BH that went off at 9am, then winning 7 @ 7.

This went to DivsDreams. As June heads to a close, DivsDreams can look back on a decent month, winning Summit, £1k BH (x 3), Mini, Turbo, Quickdraw & MidEx. In fact he's not far short of a full set in June alone. Was 3rd in a BWBH too.

    £5,000 Gold Rush (£5,000)

The Main went to penguy, who seems to have just 94 MTT's to his credit over a 7 month period. However, that includes 3rd & 4th in Sunday Majors, 5 or 6 Main Event FT's & now a Main victory.

cheekydeke, who I seem to recall as a decent PLO8 exponent, took the Mini. They won a Mini UKOPS last year but I can see very little other history for them.

DUTCHESS62 does particularly well in the Mega, was runner-up in it on Sunday & went all the way last night. Has has quite a bunch of other FT's this month too.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£5,300)

Amazing scenes, as PKRPar, who won Sharpshooter Main on Saturday, followed up with a Summit triumph. His Sharky graph has been transformed in the last month or so. Well done Mr Par.

Tough podium too, with PRHack93, who won a BWBH recently, in 2nd, & the super-aggro skyflyer in third.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,500)

Kymyster is a name I have no data on, except that they've got just a few dozen MTT's against their name on Sharky. Only played 8 MTT's in the last three months, and taking last night's Reload was their best score to date.

Uncle Ungo was 5th, with the cheerily aliased MrDooWop 6th.

It's a while since we've featured any Elton music. Here's the great man with a live performance of Benny & The Jets. Terrific piano solo in this. Appreciate him while you can, he's not getting any younger.

I can see how @TIMBER is knocking on the door if he frequently disconnects heads up in MTTs. I am not sure waiting* is a good strat either when the blinds rise as quickly as they do. I suspect I'd have been less generous on my crappy run earlier in the year, and it was a bit easier to do the right thing given I was running deep in the turbo too.

    * I almost open folded them all, but open folding AK off first hand after the disconnection was too hard.

Benny and the Jets was Elton's first number one. I'm very fond of the song as that was the question in a tie breaker for the £100 prize in a pub quiz. Three teams in the tiebreak and I knew the answer.

£100 was a decent chunk back then.

Superb song choice. Me and the Missus are going to see him at Manchester Arena in November, can't wait.
