Who won what, Tuesday 6th July - Hoff92 tops Summit

Morning.

With the first of the euros semi-finals last night MTT traffic was expected to be low, & so it proved, though the night's biggest guarantee, the £5,000 Summit, came in at over £6,000, so that was quite pleasing.

Tonight of course sees the other semi-final, this time involving England, so we can expect to see much reduced guarantees & traffic, & quite possibly Sky Poker's quietest day ever.

The Italy - Spain affair was the best game I've seen all Euros, beautiful end to end football. Sadly - for Spain - it all ended in tears when Morata went from hero to villain in the penalty shoot out.

Incidentally, I read this morning that you can buy replica England shirts for £70. That's SEVENTY POUNDS. For a shirt. Hurry, while stocks last. Kid's versions are available for a mere £55.

Returning after a 5 day hiatus, SILKY1978 won 7 @ 7 for the second time in three weeks. On the previous occasion I was chastised by a regular if grumpy reader for describing SILKY as "him", so I will scrupulously avoid personal pronouns this time.

Runner-up seikus had a solid session too, winning the 6pm £500 BH for £235, 2nd here for £150, & best of all, 2nd in the 10pm Turbo for £340.

SPT Las Vegas winner Granite89 took the Main, after which he played a dozen or more high end Heads Up Hypers, including two at £100, both of which he won.

    £1,500 Mini Gold Rush (£1,990)

StanOgden took the Mini, and not for the first time, having taken the Sharpshooter version in late December. I briefly wondered if this might be the "real" Stan Ogden from Corrie, & got a bit of a shock when I went to find a photo of the character & discovered he had passed away 37 years ago, in 1984. In fairness to me, I've missed a few episodes recently.

4th & 5th were two adversaries of many years standing, MacMonster & The Bates.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,020)

Crushy took down Mega. It was only the 6th of the month, but in July he's already won a Mini, a Mega, and Quickdraw (twice). Over-Under on how many featured MTT's he'll win this month? I'll set the line at 10.

Great to see pstoney in 4th. He won a £1.20 All-In Satellite & emerged a few hours later with over £100. Well done bud.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,100)

Our Summit winner Hoff92 has a glittering CV, having won just about every big MTT on Sky Poker, most of them several times. Perhaps Hoff's biggest claim to fame was winning both Main & Mini on the same night in 2019, & so taking the £5,000 Sky Poker Final Table Jackpot.

2nd was mumahumpa, just ahead of Mr Channing, with Solly, miniman & pizzled filling the minor placings.

Grumpy took Reload, just 2 weeks after finishing 3rd in the same one. Coincidentally, when Grumpy was 3rd, the runner-up was StanOgden, who took last night's Mini.

4th was spearsy136, who had a reasonable session, 9th in the Main, 4th here & 2nd in a £200 BH that went off at 21.45.

Don't think we've ever featured the late George Michael before, so here's Fast Love. His music videos were always superbly produced, & this is no exception.

No idea who that grumpy reader was but he was correct
I don’t believe that he criticised either.
He merely pointed out that it may be wrong to assume

I think you can mark yourself down as winning Tikay. At 12.55am I toddled downstairs to put the kettle on during the break and I was sitting 3rd of six and 3rd of ten and the thought suddenly entered my head..."might have a shot at player of the day here". Mind you, if I had won both tournaments and woken up to see none was awarded I would have not only criticised you but also chastised you.
