Former Tory candidate Connor Rumble and his flat mate Grant Gardner were acquitted of the murder of Adam Le Roi following a trial at Preston Crown Court. Mr Rumble, left, ran for the party three times and was photographed with former Prime Minister Theresa May, top right. Mr Rumble stood trial for murder after Adam Le Roi suffered five separate wounds while confronting him over a loud poker party in the apartment building where they both lived, the jury was told. The 26-year-old denied murder, insisting he had been acting in self-defence after Mr Le Roi repeatedly punched his flatmate.
