Layne passed away last night.

He won 6 WSOP Bracelets in a variety of formats - Pot Limit Hold Em, No Limit Hold Em, Limit Hi-Lo, Limit Hold Em, & PLO.

He was no age at all, just 52.

    I didn't really know him and was pretty in awe of him as he came from the poker generation before me, despite being a little younger. He was absolutely hilarious every time I played him and dominated every table we ever played on, really by shear force of personality. The news doesn't particularly shock me but it has made me sad.
