Morning.
As usual on a Sunday, I shall exercise some brevity today, as there's a whole bunch of sport I want to watch.
The previous two Saturdays both saw the £6,000 Sharpshooter Main fail to beat guarantee, so it was good to see it make over £7,000 last night. That apart, traffic was generally mixed, with nothing much to get excited about.
The Lions lost the Second Test v South Africa by some margin, setting up a mouth-watering decider next Saturday. The first 40 minutes - which actually took over an hour - was maybe the best TV I've watched in many a moon. The experts all seemed to say it was a poor match, but it was thoroughly enjoyable for a lay person like me. It's exciting & scary to watch these absolute giants of men going head to head without ever flinching. Proper blokes, them.

When was the last time the 7 @ 7 & £1k BH @ 1930 were won by the same player on the same night? I certainly can't remember it, though I'm not renowned for having a good memory. Anyway, our man Arrogant achieved it last night, & it set up an anti-climax as I was sort of hoping he might bang in a spectacular hat-trick by taking the Main. It was not to be. Even so, a fine double.

It's a while since chico383 won a Main, over 5 years in fact, but they completed a long-range double last night. Used to have some decent results, but has been on a mini-downswing this year. Last night's win changed all that & they are off & running again.
In 2nd & 5th were DiggerMan & Haysie, who I'm pretty sure are both inhabitants of South Wales. Both old-timers too. They are maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I'm very fond of them both.*

rankers took this, after running 51st in the Sharpshooter Main earlier. 51st? That rarely warrants comment, but they took 11 heads (joint best) & collected over £140 in head prizes, which is pretty cool. Add in £620 from Sheriff & you are looking at a decent night, especially as they were the only two MTT's they played yesterday.
SwannLol has enjoyed a remarkable week in Sheriff - won it on Sunday, 3rd on Thursday & 2nd last night. Add in the runner-up spot in Thursday's Hitman Main &n you are looking at an exceptional seven days.
pizzled, who won Quickdraw a few nights ago was 3rd.
dameflop has had a great 24 hours or so - she was runner-up in Friday's Avenger Main & now FT's a Sheriff. George will be getting jealous if this continues.
