Who won what, Saturday 7th August. Another big win for ValueJL

Morning.

As is often the case on a Sunday, I need to rattle though this today, things to do.

MTT traffic last night was pretty much at expected levels. No overlay, but nothing spectacular. Happy to settle for that.

In a heart-breaking finish, the British Lions narrowly lost out to South Africa, thus losing the series 2-1.

Leicester City beat Manchester City in the Community Cup, but it's a meaningless trophy & a meaningless game, so nobody cares.

In the cricket, only the weather can stop India taking the first Test & they are now a shade of odds on, with the Draw at 11/8. Oddly enough, there are worse bets than England at 8/1 based on value. Fair play to Joe Root who scored an exceptional century in difficult circumstances.

    £6,000 Sharpshooter (£6,900)

After taking Sunday's £6,000 BH, ValueJL followed up by taking Sharpshooter Main. Plenty of big scores on his CV, including an Easter UKOPS back in April for some £4,000 & a Sunday Major last October for £4,400.

Terrific result in 2nd for MAGPIETYKE, who won Mega 3 or 4 nights earlier, with OXBOWLER in 5th. OX has been on a mini-downswing, maybe this will signal the start of some better luck.

    £2,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,420)

Just over a year has elapsed since KingPower won Mini Sharpshooter, & he repeated the feat last night. He had to hold off Palace Bloke to do so, so either he got lucky, or has serious game, as Palace is well decent. (Palace the poker player, not the football club, obv).

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,280)

What an alias that is - "Mr_God". At least we now know God is male. Mr_God had three nice wins in 2020 - Mega, Turbo & Sharpshooter Main - but we've seen nothing of him in these Reports subsequently until last night.

nslater112 was fourth, with AlexaaJ fifth.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,700)

This went to BarrattG1. If the name rings a bell, it may be because he was the winner of the 2019 Road To Manchester, & the £10,000 first prize. Not a bad freeroll that. The photo below is the man himself, along with all the chips, the trophy & his winning hand. I got to chat with him & he seemed to be a decent & sturdily constructed chap.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,782)

Very rare for anyone to win Reload twice in a few days but the excellent roddy28 did so last night, having also taken it down on Tuesday.

bigfatfish, who had a Sheriff-Quickdraw double on Wednesday, was third.

How about this for a perfect Sunday morning song? The Lionel Ritchie version is probably the best-known, but I rather like this version by Faith No More. It's a very unlikely type of track for Faith No More but in fact it worked out wonderfully.

Well if Barratt is "sturdily constructed", how should we describe @MISTY4ME ?

A cheerful rotund character with short arms and long pockets.

(He will call me worse when we meet up again at a SPT Bar)
