Morning.

Another fairly sedate night for MTT traffic, with numbers broadly similar to the last few Thursdays.

The dreadful events in Plymouth last night made me think. If you had to try & guess where mass shootings in the UK might take place, you'd probably guess at places like London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, etc., and yet the four UK mass shootings in my life time have taken place in Hungerford, Dunblane, Cumbria & now Plymouth, all of which seem the last sort of place you'd expect such things to happen. All terribly sad, whatever way we look at it.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£840)

    After 7 years here, nevermind8 wins their first featured MTT & second biggest cash ever, (£184), just behind what they earned for 2nd in the Mega last December.

    In 6th was Taximan1, who did well to finish 2nd to @phantom66 in a UKOPS last year. Anyone heard from phantom66? Such a lovely chap, & it's sad we don't see him these days.

    roddy won his second Main Event since May, and in that same period he's won plenty else besides, including a Mini, BWBH, Sheriff & Reload. In fact there's very little he has not won.

    Pointy-elbowed HAYSIE was third, annoying fellow players along the way by refusing to be bluffed off 4th pair, no kicker. Does that make him very bad, or very good? Probably somewhere between, but I do know he really enjoys his poker & takes his beats like a grown-up.

    We can add HX1 to the growing list of players who one-table their way to significant wins. I've no idea how they do it, it would bore me to tears, but each to their own. It's different in Live poker of course, where we can interact & chat so much more naturally with our table companions & ogle the dealers.

    2nd was the aptly-named HappyNige.

    Talking of Live Poker, the photo below was taken at GUKPT Manchester last night. Note the complete absence of masks. To my mind, there's no finer breeding ground for virus transmission than a poker room, with everyone scrunged up together. I guess I'm sounding like a crushing old bore, (guilty as charged) but it's not for me yet awhile.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,200)

    Mega went to CheeseyAK for the second time since early May, in which time they've also won a Mini Sharpshooter.

    Runner-up was splashies, who so nearly collected some FTJ money earlier this week, when he won the Mini & FT bubbled the Main. He just keeps quietly making money, & last night was typical - 3rd in the £1,000 Rebuy BH (£106), 1st in a £500 BH (£150) & 2nd in Mega (£168). He really has got himself a lovely little side-income from poker, & he does not seem to get stressed or bent out of shape when the cards don't fall kindly.

    Natnug (4th) is really making a name for himself, cashing & winning with increasing regularity.

    Next came Uncle Ungo with the in-form pizzled 6th.

    @Cheeseyak 600000 1 £180 + £129.12 Head Prizes 5

    @splashies 0 2 £120 + £47.57 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    A decent few days for ozzieowen, 2nd in Wednesday's Main for £600, & won Sheriff last night for another £530.

    There was a trio of Final Tables for Uncle Ungo - 5th in Mega (£70), 2nd here (£290) & 4th in Turbo (£130).

    @ozzieowen 150000 1 £375 + £153.63 Head Prizes 3

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,788)

    FUNKYB31 returned after a few days MIA to take Reload. Has FT's both Reload & Mini on numerous occasions, but this was the first win.

    5th was RoilFlush, who has won both Turbo & MidEx this year from a really small sample-size. Pretty sure he's mainly a cash game player.

    @FUNKYB31 1615000 1 £240.13 + £96.14 Head Prizes 12

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    beckbhoy took this to break their featured MTT duck.

    Palace has had a glut of runner-up spots in the last month - Turbo, Summit, BWBH, Quickdraw & £1k BH. The Premier League restarts this weekend & Palace are away to Chelsea, so that's another defeat incoming.

    Reaper scythed through the field to take Quicky, & was another gaining their first featured MTT victory, though to be fair only has 358 games on their CV.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,020)

    Natnug won MidEx - again - adding it to recent wins in £1k BH, Turbo, Mega, Reload & Mini. His featured MTT bingo card is nearly full now.

    In 6th was the rather hunky Swog. He's had a tough year but the tide seems to be turning now I'm pleased to note.

    I would second that. I can’t believe it is actually happening and people are putting themselves and their families in so much risk.
