whats rules on isolation

DoublemeDoubleme Member Posts: 2,149
so I have tested positive for covid. Now obviously since I have had both vaccines I am going to get very seriously ill and probably die. Well more likely I will have a mild case fully recover and go on with my life but there are enough nutters I know personally who would tell you the former.

Anyway what are the rules for self isolation I took a lateral flow test and tested positive it was a quite a faint second line but googling told me no matter how faint if second line there it positive. So far I am mostly symptomless apart from a mild cold I had before hand and a persistent cough which only started a few hours after positive test result and I am a hypercondriac and this could be placebo.

some people have told me take another lateral flow test tomorrow and if i test negative I okay to go into work. I think that is incorrect and I legally need to self isolate for ten days right? I feel perfectly able to work, and absolutely fine but obviously dont want to infect others.

I have ordered a PCR test what are the rules?

I didnt think I was going to be get on leaderboard for premiership promotion thingy as lose two/3 days a week due to work but if I am feeling perfectly fine and have to isolate maybe I should go for it?

someone around me tested positive who I was working with on weds so two days after I test positive it likely I caught of them and I am in early stages so I might be about to get very ill obviously if I do I wont be able to play at all apart from one game with @Haysie so i can do a bad play and then tell him its because I had to stop due to feeling ill.

Sorry to hear you have tested positive. The good news is that you have picked the best place to get accurate covid information by coming on a poker forum.

lol good one. I am ringing doctors/NHS tomorrow to find out was just hoping someone would post some reliable source etc. I suck at googling.

at the moment no pain no symptons just a positive test result if it stays like this ten days off work to study/play more poker/ make a start on this years maths degree stuff.
