Who won what, Sunday 16th August - Craig wins the Major, NOSTRI takes TWENTY ONE heads in one MTT

Afternoon.

MTT traffic was somewhat quieter than the previous two Sundays - perhaps because so many of our players were playing the GUKPT. Amazing how big the "Live" poker fields have been since they resumed.

In sport, the Premier League fixtures computer was in a mischievous mood & it threw Spurs & Man City together to coincide with the ongoing Harry Kane saga. Spurs decided to "rest" Harry Kane, & would you believe it, went on to beat City. Funny old game.

In the second Test, both teams completely failed to read the script, & we might yet end up with an exciting finish.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,057

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,057)

    7 @ 7 went to luckme002 who, measured by volume, is the 4th most prolific MTT-er on Sky Poker this year.

    What an August splashies is having - 1st & 2nd in 7 @ 7, won the Mini twice, 2nd twice in Mega. Doubt he's ever had such a consistent month.

    Natnug just seems to get better & better. His portfolio of wins is growing rapidly - £6,000 BH, Mini, Midex, £1k BH, Turbo, Reload, Mega. Don't think he's won a Main yet but surely it won't be long? And of course poker being poker, the more he wins, the more his opponents will diss him. It's the very nature of poker players, sadly.

    Special congrats to @NOSTRI about whom I'm often very mean due to his inability to take Head Prizes. Well today I have to eat my words - 21 Head Prizes in a 172 runner affair is sensational.

    A very fine 6th place for MP33 too.

    @Natnug 1060000 1 £866.55 + £444.17 Head Prizes 13

    @NOSTRI 0 2 £519.93 + £11.25 Head Prizes 21

    £12,000 Sunday Major (£12,600)

    A stunning result here, as craigcu12 takes the Sunday Major, exactly a week since he was 2nd in it. That's a very rare achievement, well done Craig. Craig's record in £100+ events on Sky Poker is probably as good as anyone on the site. He's a bit like a racehorse where the trainer does not know his best distance, or a football manager who does not know his best team - he's as likely to pop up in a £5 MTT as a £110 or £220. Nice headache to have, that.

    Amongst the mini-cashees was @sR23, which most readers will be delighted to see, he's some special bloke, & he's much missed on the Forum with his oh-so-crazy but wonderfully written "Challenges".

    £1,500 Mini Major (£1,750)

    BigKel1995 only returned a fortnight ago from a 7+ months Sky Poker hiatus, and soon made a mark with an excellent Mini Major bink.

    The hunky Swog was a little unlucky not to final - he was 7th.

    I spotted The--Don min-cashed. He's had an extraordinary week (by his standards), winning a Main & a Mid-Ex since he returned to MTT's. So he'll almost certainly change his mind now & go back to cash games.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,220)

    oioi, the Mighty Shrimp took this, to make it two wins in less than 24 hours, as he also won MidEx earlier in the day. Anyone else won MidEx & Mega on the same day?

    Ozzie was runner-up, with the £6k BH winner Natnug third. Interestingly, in the £6k BH the 1-2 was Natnug & NOSTRI, and once again Natnug got the better of Nos here with a 3rd/4th finish. Seems like Natnug has Nosser in his pocket.

    @ozzieowen 0 2 £122 + £72.28 Head Prizes 6

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,700)

    Jscorgie seems to like the 9pm slot - on Tuesday he won Summit, & last night he was the Sheriff.

    2nd was RCord, 3rd Cammykaze, grinddd, who has been quiet this week was 5th & scotty77 sixth.

    @Jscorgie 170000 1 £425 + £262.87 Head Prizes 5

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,671)

    BUBBLYDAN loves Reload, won it at the end of April and was runner-up in February. It's only a £3 affair but it's notoriously tough to win.

    High flying Arrogant could only manage 2nd, which is small change to a man of his calibre.

    The Swogster, who just missed the Mini Major Final, was 4th which was at least some consolation.

    @BUBBLYDAN 1522000 1 £224.42 + £84.21 Head Prizes 10

    @Arrogant 0 2 £133.93 + £46.41 Head Prizes 9

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    An otherwise blank night for Squeezey8 was saved by winning Turbo, which looks like a PB to me.

    Sadly, we have not seen Wacko90 for three months, but he showed up last night & took 4th place.

    @Squeezey8 225000 1 £330 + £212.69 Head Prizes 9

    @RCord 0 2 £206.25 + £76.64 Head Prizes 5

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,260)

    No surprise to see the excellent Arrogant win this, he's won pretty much everything on Sky Poker, the best recent result being a Hitman Main victory last month.

    A second FT of the evening for grinddd, maybe he's running back into form.

    A rare quiet session for Crushy (6th) though he did take down a mid-afternoon £300 BH.

    @Arrogant 160000 1 £315 + £260.14 Head Prizes 8

    @grinddd 0 2 £189 + £15 Head Prizes 1

    @luckme002 0 3 £126 + £58.59 Head Prizes 3

    @Sharki0 0 4 £15 Head Prizes 1

    @Shewry 0 5 £24.38 Head Prizes 1

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,020)

    Ha, as soon as I wrote that Crushy had a rare quiet session he goes & takes down MidEx to make me look daft, though I suppose that's not difficult.

    A second cash of the session for MP33 too, good stuff Mr Banana.

    @loololollo 153000 1 £188.70 + £176.23 Head Prizes 11

    @dee2014 0 2 £112.20 + £32.81 Head Prizes 3

    OFFICIAL CORRECTION

    Apologies due to a typo, I attributed 21 Head Prizes to @NOSTRI in the £6,000 BH. In fact it was 11, not 21. Still decent though.

    you say now I don't know where I'm at with stakes. on sky I am getting to the stage now where I rarely play anything outside the high stakes.
    The vast majority of my low stakes poker now is gonna be on GG and stars where the fields are massive on sky I am becoming a main/mini player and a mid stakes MTT player on I poker.

    The way I am actually running in these high stakes MTTs does raise lots of questions on me starting to give more shots at high stakes MTTs on other sites I did play the main sweat yesterday it was my first non sky MTT costing £100+

    ANOTHER OFFICIAL CORRECTION

    I must be losing the plot. When finishing 2nd in the 172 runner £6,000 BH, in fact @NOSTRI only took ONE Head Prize. That makes a lot more sense.

    @Tikay10

    You must be for sure......check out the Thread title......... Living in the Past ?

    Thank you for all the work you do Tony, we really do appreciate it ...... and the odd mistake just makes it real.

    Really WELL PLAYED Craig @craigcu12 ..... FANTASTIC result, especially after runner-up last week :)

    WTF?

    How did I get February & August mixed up?

    And how did nobody notice until the two old boys spotted it?
