Who won what, Tuesday 17th August - Snow on the Summit

Morning.

MTT numbers were ok, above last Tuesday but not by much. Guess that's a win.

A quiet day for sport. In snooker, Hendry won his first round match in the British Open - just. His opponent has a World Ranking of 59, so not exactly a world beater. It was a real struggle for Hendry. I was a big fan of him when he was in his pomp, but personally I don't like to see one time greats try to make a comeback, it never ends well. I have no bad vibes about him but I don't like to see him as a shadow of his former self. It's the same with Jimmy White, it makes me sad to watch him these days.

I suppose the biggest surprise was to see Stoke win 1-3 away, & now sit 2nd in the Champo with 7 points from three games. Who would have thought?

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£938)

djsppiros won 7 @ 7 for the second time this month. Been here since 2009 on & off, but half their profit has come in 2021 so looks like they are improving.

In 6th was splashies, who we will return to later.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,020)

Uncle Ungo is dominating this one, last night's win was his fourth in it since early July. In the same period he's also won 7 @ 7, Reload (twice), Mid Ex & Mega, as well as third & fourth places in Mains. One of the toughest FT's seen in this comp for some time too, with all sorts of quality players in the final six.

    £5,000 Gold Rush (£5,880)

TONY509 won his second Main in 10 days, having added last night's Gold Rush to his Avenger win. His current pattern of play seems to be to just play the Main & Mini every night - nothing else - & it seems to be working nicely. I recall that last year he won two Mains + a Sunday Major in a 6 week spell, & he's on track to repeat that.

Runner-up was scotty77, who has made oodles of FT's recently, but only one win, which was a Sheriff. He'll be winning again soon, I'm quite sure.

In third was PRhack93, who has been here some 10 years but has doubled his profit in 2021. Won both Avenger Main & BWBH last month.

Can't tell you a thing about the Mini winner queak13, is blocked on Sharky & has not had a single Forum mention.

In third was ufud, who later embarked on a string of HU SNG's & DYM's, which ended around 3am this morning with a win streak of 7.

Makaka, recently back from a little lay-off was sixth. Sadly, I can no longer access his Sharky, but fair to say he does pretty well for himself.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,520)

Having finished 6th in the 7 @ 7 splashies went all the way in Mega. Might just be heading for his most consistent month ever, halfway through August he's already won a Mega, two Minis & a 7 @ 7, with plenty of final tables too.

2nd was TEXANT, who has plenty of decent form this year including two Minis & a 7 @ 7 in the space of a week.

M10Dembele, returned from his Live poker jolly, was third.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,300)

JonTSnow was 2nd in a Summit in June so this would have felt terrific. He also won the Major in June, so is clearly comfortable in £110 events. He came to Vegas with us a few years back unless my memory id playing tricks.

    pacman, 8th in Monday's Main, was runner-up.

Shrimpy was attempting to make it four wins in as many nights, but met with a nasty accident & exited in 5th. Shame really, 5 in 5 would have been really quite special. A proper wowzer exit too, he had 9-9 v Q high, flopped his 9 & still managed to lose.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,837)

Reload went the way of Arrogant, small beer to him but it all adds up.

DONDAPA, 4th in Mega, was 6th.

oioi, Arrogant at the double, he took Reload for £330 then added Quicky for another £527.

A painful hour or so for cabbaz, runner-up in Turbo & the same here.

Arrogant hit the crossbar in going for the hat-trick, just 2nd this time after wining Reload & Quicky.

    He’s Norwegian
He came to Stoke for no reason
    We’re going up this season
    We’ve got Ostegaard
(To the tune of she’s electric)

    @tonyp142

OK, I dedicate that tune to both our Stoke City fans, so they can have a little sing-song.

PS - I'd not heard that track before - it;s the first time I've ever enjoyed an Oasis track.
