A belated good afternoon.
I shall have to rattle through these sharpish today, due to time issues.
A quiet Wednesday evening, as is often the case. The Main came in at £5,400, which is slightly below the recent run-rate, though not by much.
In sport, I wrote this yesterday about the third Test between England & India;
"Remarkably, India can be backed at odds against"Not so remarkable after all then. Wonder what price we could have got for India to elect to bat, be skittled out for 78, & then England knock off 100+ without loss? Even with hindsight, I'd not have been interested at 66/1. The glorious uncertainty of sport.
Still with cricket, sad news today that Ted Dexter has passed away. What a batsman, what an England captain, what a character. He went to Australia one year to cover an Ashes series, & instead of flying with BA, Qantas or whoever he flew his own light aircraft all the way from the UK to Aussie, making 21 stops along the way for refuelling & sleep. Oh, & he had his wife & two children with him.

The exceptionally talented roddy28 took this, then went on to finish 3rd in the Mini.
And look at who was runner-up, the venerable Dollie. Made up for you Gordon, well done mate, & fingers crossed we can hook up again soon at an SPT.

Not exactly a bowl comp, but "only" a £1,000 g'tee, and yet look at that line up on the FT.
A top three of cabbaz, seikus & Makaka meant they surely had a terrific three-way scrap for the win, with cabbaz, fresh back from a 4 day break, emerging on top. Later he ran third in the Turbo too.

The Main fell to TopTotty, of whom I know very little indeed, except that it was only their 8th MTT of 2021 & their first for seven weeks. Nice.
On Tuesday, Mr Channing made two FT's, finishing 6th in both. Last night he made two FT's again, this time running 3rd in each - Main & Sheriff. I shall expect nothing less than a brace of wins tonight.
Makaka made another FT (4th), Sharki0 5th & 1317 6th.

bigg431 has previously made the Mini FT four times this year finishing 2nd, 4th, 4th & 6th so I think the win last night was probably was deserved. Has made two Main Event FT's in 2021 too.
A long night for Mini runner-up spulding, finishing 5th in a £150 BH that ran at 0130 this morning, then winning a £100 Turbo BH that went off at 0230.

seikus just missed out on the £1,000 BH win but made good here, taking Mega from RCord with LmfaoAllin, who claims to be a chef in Bristol, in third. Are chefs in Bristol even a thing?

£1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,250)
UnEuropean took Sheriff for the second time in just over a month. Had some great results of late including winning last Friday's BWBH for £2,000 & 3rd in a Sunday Major in May for some £1,400. One to keep an eye on.

£1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,614)
Good Lord, Jac35, a decade or more with Sky Poker, took Reload, probably for the first time. He won one of the first ever SPT's at The Broadway in Birmingham a very very long time ago, & at the time I thought he might kick on & become a decent player. To be fair he's a decent golfer & the GOAT flouncer, no question about it.
OXBOWLER was 5th & Raptor555 swooped to take 6th.

£1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,800)
The form of that £1k BH worked out really well, with the top three all getting a win on the night - cabbaz the £1k, seikus the Sheriff & now Makaka the Turbo. cabbaz got another podium finish too. Those three must know each other's lines inside out.
PKRpar, was 6th. He's won two Mains, two Sheriffs & a MidEx since late June, though quite how is something of a mystery.

4th was BarneyIsle, bidding for a quick double, having won this on Tuesday.

In other news...
Yesterday we reported that Patrick Leonard, aka pads, won his third WCOOP title, well make that 4 now, as he took the WCOOP 2-7 Single Draw last night. Not sure there's ever been many better players either Online or Live during my time in poker. If he changed aliases & we had him on our table many would say he's been on the glue, as he takes some really unusual lines, but he's living proof that taking odd lines does not necessarily mean they are a bad player - more likely we just don't understand them. He's an absolute bona-fide beast.
Another chance to see & hear the recently departed Charlie Watts on the drums with the Stones. Unbelievably, this was recorded 56 years ago, long before many of us were born.
