Who won what, Friday 26th August - a busy night, & Jay119 takes BWBH

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,844

Morning.

It's Saturday, & my day is full, so pardon me if we rattle through this quickly today.

Some solid numbers last night, with the BWBH at a 8 week high & Avenger Main a 13 week high. In fact most of the featured MTT's did well. Why? No idea. Time of month, the much cooler weather, no football of note on TV, da de da.

In sport, well, the huge story was Ronaldo returning to United. Financially, a good deal for United who will monetise him to bits on Social-Media & the like. For the team, not so much, there are already plenty of fragile egos at Old Trafford. Add Ronaldo to that mix & it could get very messy indeed.

Whilst on football, big big game at 5.30pm today - Liverpool v Chelsea. Going to be fascinating to see how Van Dijk copes with the mighty Lukaku.

Don't forget it's also the Belgian GP this weekend, at the best, most scary & easily most dangerous circuit on the calendar, Spa Francorchamps. Throw in wet weather & its edge of the seat stuff. Let's hope everyone finishes it safely, there was the mother of all crashes there yesterday in a Women's race & it's a miracle nobody was seriously hurt, or worse. There's a video of the crash below, involving six cars at Eau Rouge, it's spectacular.

£700 7 @ 7 £980

£6,000 BWBH £8,900

£8,000 Avenger Main £10,600

£4,000 Mini £4,895

£1,000 Mega £1,400

£1,500 Sheriff £2,200

£1,500 Reload £1,677

£1,500 Turbo £1,530

£1,000 Quicky £1,900

£1,000 MidEx £1,840

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£980)

    Nine long years ago on this very Forum, kolomish posted;

    "why do players with the most chips on a table always win 99% of the time even when they got the worst hand.
    sky poker is rigged"

    And here we are in 2021, kolomish is still here, and winning the 7 @ 7 for the 2nd time this year. It's one of life's mysteries to me, why do players stay on a site if they think it's not legit? Our 7 @ 7 winner has played over 12,000 MTT's here, most of them since that post. And they are not alone, we have a good few players who complain daily that something is amiss, & yet still play here. Why? There are dozens of licensed rooms available in the UK & most if not all have better software.

    Anyway, with that off my chest, a fine win by kolomish, with bigfatfish, BeachBody & Makaka in 2nd, 3rd & 4th respectively.

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£8,900)

    Jay119 took BWBH. A look at Sharky suggests has just joined & only played 20 MTT's, but I distinctly recall them running deep in the last SPT Online, back in May, so presumably has since reset their Sharky. Pretty sure they have been here a good while & plays a bit of cash.

    We do know plenty about ValueJL, the runner-up. Took down a Sunday Major a few months ago, & luxuriates in a Sharky rating of 96. Can't be too many players on Sky Poker with a higher rating, can there?

    BeachBody had a strange evening - 3rd in the 7 @ 7, 3rd in BWBH then 3rd in a £500 BH that went off at 7.40pm.

    newdaddy was 6th, he does especially well in the bigger stuff, and in the Sunday Major in 2021 he has run 2nd twice & 3rd twice. I mentioned the super high Sharky rating of ValueJL earlier, well newdaddy is only a spot behind, he's on 95.

    @Jay119 445000 1 £1335 + £866.95 Head Prizes 8

    @ValueJL 0 2 £890 + £325.19 Head Prizes 6

    @BeachBody 0 3 £534 + £234.38 Head Prizes 5

    @Slev23 0 4 £445 + £135.94 Head Prizes 2

    @fishhhhh 0 5 £356 + £288.28 Head Prizes 5

    @newdaddy 0 6 £289.25 + £84.38 Head Prizes 2

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,600)

    Avenger Main went to Tinderella who has just 100 MTT's against their alias, but has made them count. Won a Sunday Major early this year & walked away with over £6,000, & took a BWBH recently too.

    Dog Bloke has been suffering some runbad, but his luck is turning & he was a fine 2nd, with wineli 33rd.

    In 5th was Uncle Ungo, enjoying his best cash of the month.

    6th was chrisdonkb, who only tends to play here on Fridays of late.

    @Tinderella 1250000 1 £1404.50 + £474.04 Head Prizes 11

    @rspca12 0 2 £837.40 + £364.43 Head Prizes 9

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,895)

    ozzieowen took the Mini. Just a fortnight ago he achieved the quite remarkable feat of winning Sheriff three nights on the trot - 12th, 13th & 14th August.

    In 5th was tonyp142, who won BWBH exactly three weeks ago.

    The--Don trailed home in a disappointing 9th place. His fondness for MTT's depends on the day of the week I suspect, it's all love-hate with him & no middle ground.

    @ozzieowen 2412000 1 £622.50 + £107.51 Head Prizes 8

    @gunners88 0 2 £348.60 + £104.20 Head Prizes 12

    @Makaka 0 3 £205.67 + £61.87 Head Prizes 9

    @tonyp142 0 5 £136.95 + £6.96 Head Prizes 2

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,400)

    SHYBOY51 took Mega, and has previously won a Sheriff.

    ozzieowen & bigfatfish (3rd & 4th) were both enjoying their 2nd final of the night.

    Freddy Fickle, 9th in the Mini, was 7th here. His most impressive result of the night was probably 20th in a 1am £20 freeroll for which Sharky reports he made a £0.41 profit. Much as I'd enjoy digging him out, he probably only played it to support the 24 hour Charity Stream by @PBKR so we'll give him a pass this time.

    Give him a pass? Just an excuse to squeeze in one of the best scenes from The Wolf On Wall Street. PS - WARNING, very explicit language.

    @SHYBOY51 700000 1 £203 + £104.73 Head Prizes 5

    @johnny_e 0 2 £133 + £26.25 Head Prizes 3

    @ozzieowen 0 3 £82.25 + £75.64 Head Prizes 5

    @bigfatfish 0 4 £66.50 + £44.54 Head Prizes 4

    @SzaryPolak 0 5 £54.25 + £49.92 Head Prizes 5

    @ForeSight 0 6 £45.50 + £28.13 Head Prizes 3

    The talented & versatile f3nix35 took Quickdraw, his first win here for some time. If you are reading this Ben, any plans to attend the WSOP this year?

    In other news...

    Spare a thought for @PBKR who began his Charity Stream at 5pm last night & is still going strong.

    I believe he received a single donation of £650 on top of the considerable amount already raised. It all goes to Cancer Research so do please take a few minutes to try & support him.
