Who won what, Friday 3rd September - the Sky Poker crew well placed at GUKPT Coventry

Afternoon.

Last night's two biggies were both well down w-o-w. Avenger Main dropped to £9,320 from £10,600, while the BWBH took a big dip, £8,900 last Friday, £6,500 last night. 7@ 7 was identical w-o-w at £980. Reload made £1,947, exactly the same as Thursday, whilst Turbo made £1,650 for the third straight night, which is a real statistical oddity.

In sport, the England - India Test continued to swing & swong and it's hard to call right now. England are a shade of odds on, with India 11/8. The draw at 7/1 is not really in the frame, that would be highly unlikely, & I'd certainly want a lot more than 7/1 to be interested.

Sky Sports have signed a deal to cover WSL - Women's Super League (football), and last night's opener was Manchester United Women v Reading Women, with Man U prevailing 2-0. I want to like Women's football, & I watched it hoping to see a good game, but I have to say it was distinctly underwhelming, & on that evidence, it's not ready for a weekly TV slot yet.

£700 7 @ 7 £980

£6,000 BWBH £6,500

£8,000 Avenger £9,320

£4,000 Mini £4,580

£1,000 Mega £1,480

£1,500 Sheriff £2,000

£1,500 Reload £1,947

£1,500 Turbo £1,650

£1,000 Quicky £1,820

£1,000 MidEx £1,400

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£980)

    Starting mid-morning, Siscole spent most of the day playing MTT's without a sniff of a result, then it all came right in the 7 @ 7 & they secured their first ever significant result.

    In 2nd was Loofah, playing their comeback MTT after a 4 month absence. That alias triggered my memory, back in the day a loofah was seen in every bathroom, but I've not seen one for years & they seem to have gone out of fashion.

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£6,500)

    Well well well, our resident Boring Accountant took BWBH, for one of his best results in the last few years. He's an SPT regular, & in fact came to Vegas with us in 2016 & played the Main Event. (See photo).

    Runner-up AlexaAJ makes a ton of FT's but this was one of their biggest scores. In fact it's the 2nd time in 2 months they have been runner-up in BWBH, earning £1,238 when they did so in June & £1,322 last night.

    3rd was waller02. We are quite used to seeing him do well on a Friday, but it's usually the Avenger. His Sharky graph for the last 12 months is near vertical, and his game has improved beyond recognition. I've no idea if he's had coaching but for sure he's upped his game significantly.

    With RCord, nishg & StayOrGo filling out the final six, this was a typically tough BWBH renewal.

    @mattprawn 325000 1 £1202.50 + £580.45 Head Prizes 5

    @AlexaAJ 0 2 £715 + £607.01 Head Prizes 10

    @waller02 0 3 £487.50 + £159.38 Head Prizes 4

    @RCord 0 4 £357.50 + £112.50 Head Prizes 2

    @nishg 0 5 £260 + £37.50 Head Prizes 1

    @StayOrGo 0 6 £227.50 + £274.22 Head Prizes 6

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,320)

    A bit step up in class for Avenger winner carlfidd91. Has made a few £1k BH & Turbo FT's but this win was easily their best.

    Silksy tried to satellite into BWBH but came 5th with 4 seats & so just picked up £44 which they decided to invest in Avenger. Turned out nice, as they say.

    johnny_e was 3rd & then managed 5th in Sheriff.

    The bookies would have made Monty15 favourite in this Final, but poker does not work like that & he could only manage 4th.

    @carlfidd91 1072000 1 £1251.68 + £423.94 Head Prizes 10

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,580)

    Doooobs took Avenger Mini, & in doing so completed the Avenger Main/Mini double, having taken the Main in June. He was not a million miles off the FTJ last night either, 28/218 in the Main. It's easily the best Mini of the week to win so he timed it nicely.

    The splendidly aliased MrDingDong was 4th. Jaunty aliases such as MrDingDong, BooBooTheB, YingYang & BoomBoom please me rather more than they should, & I'm not sure why. Maybe because they generally belong to cheerful sorts, & there seems to be a global shortage of cheerfulness.

    @Doooobs 2194000 1 £572.50 + £90.47 Head Prizes 8

    @dannico 0 2 £320.60 + £109.94 Head Prizes 15

    @newie7108 0 3 £189.15 + £82.73 Head Prizes 8

    @MrDingDong 0 4 £150 + £118.50 Head Prizes 16

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,480)

    TOPSNATCH seems to be a NKOTB & this was their Results Thread debut.

    lukeylund, not long back from a 3 month break, finalled 7 @ 7 a few days ago & followed up with the runner-up spot here.

    In 4th was D96RNWE, who might just have been one of the first players ever to sign up to Sky Poker back in early 2007, so he's in his 15th year here.

    @TOPSNATCH 740000 1 £214.60 + £107.24 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    lolufold took Sheriff, he's another due a long-service gold watch soon.

    Sharki0 won this on Thursday & came up just short of the 24 hour double in 4th, with johnny_e, 3rd in Avenger Main, 5th here.

    Mr Channing was 6th, yet another in a long series of FT's without a win. He's probably getting the lot on the horses though, so can't spare him too much sympathy.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,650)

    BooBoo & Palace fought this out, with Boo coming out on top. Wonder how often these two have been HU in a featured MTT? I'll take the overs.

    4th was Silksy, completing a solid session after running 2nd in Avenger Main & picking up £40 in a BWBH satellite.

    @BooBooTheB 275000 1 £305.25 + £213.80 Head Prizes 7

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,400)

    September has begun well for The--Don, 2nd in Mini, 5th in Mega & now taken down MidEx. He'll be pretty pleased with that. It's hard to find nice things to say about the old fella, but to be fair when he's running bad he takes it on the chin & does not burden us with "woe is me" stories. If there's one thing that does my head in with poker it's players who moan every day. We can accuse him of most things - & do - but not that.

    Tuesday's Summit winner roddy28 was 3rd.

    @The--Don 210000 1 £203 + £104.56 Head Prizes 6

    @skyflyer 0 2 £133 + £83.11 Head Prizes 5

    @roddy28 0 3 £82.25 + £126.58 Head Prizes 13

    @Sherbert3 0 4 £66.50 + £11.25 Head Prizes 1

    @zandan25 0 5 £54.25 + £10 Head Prizes 1

    @CRAIG170 0 6 £45.50 + £9.38 Head Prizes 1

    In other news...

    GUKPT Coventry continues, and with the Turbo flight still to come, the prize pool is already close to £400,000.

    Plenty of our crew remain in the hunt & the combined Day 1A & 1B chip counts are shown below.

    Those in contention include;

    @M10Dembele

    @bromley04

    @destinycod

    @PBKR

    @f3nix35

    There may be a few others too, apologies to those I missed.

    Big day for them all today, trying to bag up a decent stack for tomorrow & a shot at a really lumpy 1st prize. VBOL to them all.

    Even buying a coffee is a big deal for an accountant, they live very humdrum lives, so winning BWBH is a seriously big deal.

    I'm currently reading "Life", which is the autobiography of Keith Richards, a terrific read. He writes about how he & Mick Jagger first started writing songs in the early sixties, usually Keith the music & Mick the lyrics, & this was amongst the first. Between them those two must gave earned many millions in royalties. Toasty life.

    Good luck to all those who got sent to Coventry. Meanwhile that was my 4th bubble in ten nights. Might have to start a PJ style thread.
